  1. 6. Algorithms for Coherent Diffractive Imaging with X-ray Lasers

    Författare :Benedikt J. Daurer; Filipe Maia; Tomas Ekeberg; Janos Hajdu; Richard Neutze; Uppsala universitet; []
    Nyckelord :NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; X-ray lasers; coherent diffractive imaging; algorithms; lensless imaging; flash diffractive imaging; flash X-ray imaging; aerosol injection; FEL; XFEL; CXI; CDI; FXI; Physics with specialization in Biophysics; Fysik med inriktning mot biofysik;

    Sammanfattning : Coherent diffractive imaging (CDI) has become a very popular technique over the past two decades. CDI is a "lensless" imaging method which replaces the objective lens of a conventional microscope by a computational image reconstruction procedure. LÄS MER

  2. 7. Interaction of Ultrashort X-ray Pulses with Material

    Författare :Magnus Bergh; Janos Hajdu; Andrea Cavalleri; Uppsala universitet; []
    Nyckelord :NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; free-electron laser; dense plasma; X-ray; radiation damage; laser physics; nano-plasma; Molecular Dynamics; Molecular biophysics; Molekylär biofysik;

    Sammanfattning : Radiation damage limits the resolution in imaging experiments. Damage is caused by energy deposited into the sample during exposure. Ultrashort and extremely bright X-ray pulses from free-electron lasers (FELs) offer the possibility to outrun key damage processes, and temporarily improve radiation tolerance. LÄS MER

  3. 8. Nanofabrication of Zone Plates for Hard X-Ray Free-Electron Lasers

    Författare :Fredrik Uhlén; Ulrich Vogt; Thomas Wilhein; KTH; []
    Nyckelord :NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; X-ray optics; Zone plates; Nanofabrication; X-ray free-electron lasers; Fysik; Physics;

    Sammanfattning : This Thesis describes the development of hard X-ray zone plates intended for focusing radiation at X-ray free-electron lasers (XFELs). XFELs provide unprecedented brightness and zone plates which are put in the intense X-ray beam are at risk of being damaged. LÄS MER

  4. 9. Studies of Phonons and Phase Transitions by Time-Resolved X-ray Diffraction

    Författare :Henrik Enquist; Atomfysik; []
    Nyckelord :NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; synchrotron radiation; ultrashort pulses; material science; phase transition; X-ray diffraction; phonon; X-ray detector;

    Sammanfattning : When light is used to study structures, the wavelength limits the size of the details that can be resolved. Visible light can be used to investigate structures as small as a micrometre in size. To study smaller structures a shorter wavelength is required. LÄS MER

  5. 10. Operando X-Ray Imaging of Battery Electrodes

    Författare :Antoine Klein; Chalmers tekniska högskola; []
    Nyckelord :NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; lithium-ion batteries; XTM; sodium-ion batteries; lithium-sulfur batteries; SAXS.; X-ray imaging;

    Sammanfattning : Batteries are now part of our daily life as they enable easy usage of portable devices and are now essential for us to travel, communicate, work, read, or listen to music. The diversity of battery applications continuously increases and new demands of for instance capacity, charge time and sustainability have emerged. LÄS MER
