    Sammanfattning : The use of fossil fuels presents a particularly interesting challenge - our society strongly depends on coal and oil, but we are aware that their use is damaging the environment. Currently, this awareness is gaining momentum, and pressure to evolve towards an energetically cleaner planet is very strong. LÄS MER

  3. 13. Synthesis and Characterisation of Potential Hydrogen Storage Materials

    Författare :Emil Johansson; Björgvin Hjörvarsson; Astrid Pundt; Uppsala universitet; []
    Nyckelord :NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; Physics; Hydrogen; adsorption; absorption; thermodynamics; thin films; carbon nanostructures; Fysik; Physics; Fysik;

    Sammanfattning : The dissociative and non-dissociative hydrogen uptake in carbon nanostructures and metallic films were investigated by measurements and analysis of solubility isotherms. The total, non-dissociative, uptake for multi-walled nano-barrels and amorphous nanoporous carbon was determined to be 6.2 and 4.2 wt. LÄS MER

    Sammanfattning : Fines of hematite and magnetite were studied in the fluidized bed using a pure hydrogen atmosphere in the temperature range of 768 to 888 K. Hematite pellets were studied based on Thermogravimetric Analysis (TGA) experiments using hydrogen atmospheres containing 0–15 % pH2O, in the temperature range of 873 to 1173 K. LÄS MER

    Sammanfattning : The loss of biodiversity, due to pollution and global warming, is more important and relevant now than it has ever been. Man made climate warming has its roots in the huge amount of CH4 and CO2 emissions, which have increased by 47% and 156% respectively since 1750. LÄS MER
