12. Silver Alumina Catalysts for Lean NOx Reduction - Influence of Preparation Methods and Type of Reductant, with Transient Kinetic Modelling
Sammanfattning : The objective of this work was to compare three different preparation methods for silver alumina catalysts for lean NOx reduction. Characteristics such as catalytic activity with propene and n-octane as reductants, chemical state of the silver and silver dispersion were analyzed. LÄS MER
13. Lean NOx reduction over supported silver catalysts with methanol as reductant - Influence of silver loading, support material, hydrogen addition and C/N molar ratio
Sammanfattning : The aim of this thesis is to find catalysts which show high activity and selectivity forlean NOx reduction in the low-temperature regime relevant for diesel and lean-burnengines and to investigate methanol as reducing agent. The lean NOx reduction oversupported silver catalysts is studied, focusing on the influence of the support material, silver loading, addition of hydrogen and the C/N molar ratio. LÄS MER
14. Fuel Reforming for Hydrogen Production in Heavy-Duty Vehicle Applications
Sammanfattning : The depletion of fossil fuels together with growing environmental concerns have created incitement for developing a more energy-efficient and environmentally-friendly vehicle fleet. The development towards cleaner heavy-duty vehicles started already in the 80’s with the introduction of emission legislations. LÄS MER
15. Catalysis for Lean NOx Reduction - Aspects of Catalyst Synthesis and Surface Acidity
Sammanfattning : From both economic and environmental perspectives it is desirable to reduce the consumption of fossil fuels. One route to increase the fuel efficiency for vehicles is operation in oxygen excess. However, a major problem with this technique is the lean environment, which obstructs catalytic reduction of nitrogen oxides (NOx) to harmless nitrogen. LÄS MER
