   Sammanfattning : The objective of the thesis is to illuminate and further the understanding of a period of history known as the ”record years” (1960-1975), and ”the million homes program” (1965-1974). The questions discussed in the thesis include: what was the attitude of local authorities to the building of homes? How was the location of the buildings decided? Which factors influenced the character of the buildings and housing areas? This involves a study of the interplay among the various actors and a discussion of the role of the architects. LÄS MER

   Sammanfattning : Aim: The aim of this thesis was to investigate type, degree and patterns of health complaints, need for help and health-related quality of life across gender among persons aged 75?105 as well as to identify how patterns of health complaints, gender, age and socio-economic factors related to need for help with daily activities and quality of life (Paper I). The aim was also to investigate the prevalence of self-reported symptoms of urinary, faecal and double incontinence among men and women aged 75 and above, and to identify how other health complaints and quality of life relate to incontinence symptoms (Paper II).    Sammanfattning : The aim was to evaluate the effectiveness and feasibility of functional and nutritional assessments in geriatric rehabilitation in Copenhagen, Denmark, and in addition to study clinically identifiable risk factors for undernutrition, association between nutritional and ADL status, feasibility and effectiveness of nutritional intervention conducted by the nursing staff, and the nursing staffs attitudes towards nutrition-related assessments. Two data collections were conducted in the geriatric clinics in Copenhagen. LÄS MER
