    Författare :Lebing Gong; Sven Halldin; C.-Y. Xu; Allan Rodhe; Thorsten Wagener; Uppsala universitet; []
    Nyckelord :NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; Parameterisation; runoff generation; routing; WASMOD-M; hydrography; data uncertainty; topographic index; scale; river network; response function; HydroSHEDS; HYDRO1k; Dongjiang basin; Parametrisering; avrinningsbildning; flödessvarstid; WASMOD-M; hydrografi; topografiskt index; dataosäkerhet; skala; flödesnät; svarstidssfunktion; HYDRO1k; HydroSHEDS; Dongjiang; Hydrology; Hydrologi; Hydrology; Hydrologi;

    Sammanfattning : Water has always had a controlling influence on the earth’s evolution. Understanding and modelling the large-scale hydrological cycle is important for climate prediction and water-resources studies. LÄS MER

  2. 2. Aspects of Ash Transformations in Pressurised Entrained-Flow Gasification of Woody Biomass : Pilot-scale studies

    Författare :Charlie Ma; Marcus Öhman; Luleå tekniska universitet; []
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; woody biomass; gasification; ash transformation; slag behaviour; refractory corrosion; Energiteknik; Energy Engineering;

    Sammanfattning : Pressurised entrained-flow gasification (PEFG) of woody biomass has the potential to produce high purity syngas for the production of vital chemicals, e.g., biofuels. However, ash-related issues such as reactor blockages and refractory corrosion need to be addressed before this potential can be realised from a technical perspective. LÄS MER

  3. 3. Entrepreneurs and Small-Scale Enterprises : Self Reported Health, Work Conditions, Work Environment Management and Occupational Health Services

    Författare :Kristina Gunnarsson; Malin Josephson; Eva Vingård; Ing-Marie Andersson; Gunnar Rosén; Stig Vinberg; Uppsala universitet; []
    Nyckelord :MEDICIN OCH HÄLSOVETENSKAP; MEDICAL AND HEALTH SCIENCES; small-scale enterprises; SSE; entrepreneur; self-rated health; systematic work environment management; work conditions; social life; Occupational Health Service; OHS; Occupational medicine; Yrkesmedicin; Arbets- och miljömedicin; Occupational and Environmental Medicine;

    Sammanfattning : This thesis focused on factors contributing to improved work environment in small-scale enterprises and sustainable health for the entrepreneurs. In Study I, implementation of the provision of Systematic Work Environment Management (SWEM) with and without support was investigated. Two implementation methods were used, supervised and network method. LÄS MER

  4. 4. Catching values of small-scale fisheries : A look at markets, trade relations and fisher behaviour

    Författare :Elizabeth Drury O'Neill; Beatrice Crona; Tim Daw; Therese Lindahl; Ragnhild Overå; Stockholms universitet; []
    Nyckelord :SAMHÄLLSVETENSKAP; SOCIAL SCIENCES; small-scale fisheries; value chains; gender; seafood trade; global markets; patron-client; human wellbeing; benefits; markets; local social dynamics; Sustainability Science; vetenskap om hållbar utveckling;

    Sammanfattning : This thesis explores small-scale fisheries trade, markets and the accompanying relationships. It does so to understand how they contribute to human wellbeing and ecosystem health through fisher's behaviour in the marine environment. LÄS MER

  5. 5. From torrefaction to gasification : Pilot scale studies for upgrading of biomass

    Författare :Martin Strandberg; Anders Nordin; Linda Pommer; Jaap Kiel; Umeå universitet; []
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; Torrefaction; biomass; pilot scale; continuous reactor; grindability; entrained flow gasification; degree of torrefaction; biomass powder;

    Sammanfattning : Increasing the share of biomass, preferably by replacing fossil fuels, is one way to mitigate the present climate change. Fossil coal can be directly replaced by co-combustion of coal and biomass and fossil engine fuels (gasoline and diesel) could potentially partly be replaced by synthetic renewable fuels produced via entrained flow gasification of biomass.
