16. Integrating domain knowledge into deep learning : Increasing model performance through human expertise
Sammanfattning : The research in this thesis is focused on how deep learning models can be designed and implemented to better emulate and integrate the heuristic reasoning process of human experts. Several case studies, within the domains of steel making and drug discovery, are conducted in order to evaluate the performance of these models, in comparison to models that do not consider human expert knowledge from the targeted domain. 17. High-Performance Computing For Support Vector Machines
Sammanfattning : Machine learning algorithms are very successful in solving classification and regression problems, however the immense amount of data created by digitalization slows down the training and predicting processes, if solvable at all. High-Performance Computing(HPC) and particularly parallel computing are promising tools for improving the performance of machine learning algorithms in terms of time. LÄS MER
18. Cohesive modelling of the temperature dependence of epoxy based adhesives in Mode I and Mode II loading
Sammanfattning : In this work, the influence of the temperature on the cohesive laws for two epoxy adhesives is studied at temperatures below the glass transition temperature for both Mode I and Mode II loading. Cohesive laws are measured experimentally under quasi-static loading conditions in the temperature range -30≤T≤80"C" . LÄS MER
19. Daily life after Subarachnoid Haemorrhage : Identity construction, patients' and relatives' statements about patients' memory, emotional status and activities of living
Sammanfattning : The overall aim of this thesis was to describe patients’ experience and reconstruction regarding the onset of, and events surrounding being struck by a Subarachnoid Haemorrhage (SAH), and to describe patients’ and relatives’ views of patients’ memory ability, emotional status and activities of living, in a long-term perspective. Methods: Both inductive and deductive approaches were used. 20. Game-calibrated and user-tailored remote detection of emotions : A non-intrusive, multifactorial camera-based approach for detecting stress and boredom of players in games
Sammanfattning : Questionnaires and physiological measurements are the most common approach used to obtain data for emotion estimation in the field of human-computer interaction (HCI) and games research. Both approaches interfere with the natural behavior of users. LÄS MER
