  1. 1. Congenital heart block : a study of diagnostics, pathogenesis, prognosis and treatment

    Författare :Håkan Eliasson; Karolinska Institutet; Karolinska Institutet; []
    Nyckelord :;

    Sammanfattning : Congenital heart block (CHB) is a rare condition with considerable mortality. In most patients the disease is associated with fetal exposure to maternal SSA-Ro and/or SSB-La autoantibodies (AB) and develops in fetal life. Accuracy in fetal diagnostics is important to distinguish benign from life threatening conditions. LÄS MER

  2. 2. Hamiltonian systems with Poisson commuting integrals

    Författare :Håkan Eliasson; Stockholms universitet; []
    Nyckelord :NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES;

    Sammanfattning : The purpose of this thesis is to study Hamiltonian systems with Poisson commuting integrals near a stationary point - a situation appearing in many problems of classical mechanics.It turns out that these integrals, under fairly general conditions on their quadratic parts, become singular (their gradients become linearly dependent) on symplectic submanifolds, giving rise to invariant manifolds for the Hamiltonian system - the singular manifolds. 3. 3. Autonomic cardiac control in long QT syndrome : clinical studies of arrhythmogenic triggers

    Författare :Anna Lundström; Annika Rydberg; Urban Wiklund; Håkan Eliasson; Jacob Tfelt-Hansen; Umeå universitet; []
    Nyckelord :MEDICIN OCH HÄLSOVETENSKAP; MEDICAL AND HEALTH SCIENCES; MEDICIN OCH HÄLSOVETENSKAP; MEDICAL AND HEALTH SCIENCES; MEDICIN OCH HÄLSOVETENSKAP; MEDICAL AND HEALTH SCIENCES; Long QT syndrome; pediatrics; exercise; Holter; water immersion; arrhythmia; clinical physiology; ECG; heart rate variability; heart rate response; cardiovascular disease; hjärt- och kärlforskning; kardiologi; Cardiology; pediatrik; Pediatrics;

    Sammanfattning : Background: Long QT syndrome (LQTS) is an inherited cardiac disease characterized by prolonged cardiac repolarization and an increased risk for life-threatening arrhythmias. These arrhythmias are typically triggered by adrenergic stimuli, such as physical activity and intense emotions, implicating that the sympathetic part of the autonomic nervous system (ANS) is involved in arrhythmogenesis.
