    Sammanfattning : The aim of this thesis was to investigate the prevalence and characteristics of long-lasting upper extremity symptoms in a general population and to study some methodological aspects of outcome assessment and reporting, including validation of a Swedish version of an upper extremity region-specific outcome instrument that potentially could be useful for assessing upper extremity disorders. A general health questionnaire was mailed to 3000 persons, randomly selected from a general population register; response rate 83%. LÄS MER

    Sammanfattning : AbstractAs air contaminants continue to pose a problem in organizations, more studies are needed to identify and reduce employees’ exposure to air contaminants. Limited research proposes methods for managing air contaminants, especially with focus on reducing exposure by improving safety behavior, safety knowledge, safety attitudes and safety motivation among employees in the workplace, by, for instance, using safety training.     Sammanfattning : Upon growth arrest of the bacterium Escherichia coli, RNA polymerase (Es70) is redirected from transcribing genes encoding the protein synthesizing system (PSS) to those involved in maintenance and stress resistance. The small nucleotide ppGpp, which is directly targeting Es70, is a key regulatory molecule required for this response. LÄS MER
