  1. 1. Molecular and structural patterns of guided bone regeneration (GBR). Experimental studies on the role of GBR membrane and bone substitute materials

    Författare :Ibrahim Elgali; Göteborgs universitet; []
    Nyckelord :MEDICIN OCH HÄLSOVETENSKAP; MEDICAL AND HEALTH SCIENCES; Regenerative medicine; biomaterials; bone substitute; calcium phosphate; guided bone regeneration; membrane; strontium; bone defect; bone remodeling; inflammation; cytokines; chemokines; growth factors; gene expression; histomorphometry; in vivo;

    Sammanfattning : The mechanisms of guided bone regeneration (GBR) and bone healing with calcium phosphate (CaP) bone substitutes are not fully understood. The major aim of this thesis was to determine the relationship between the bone formation in bone defects and the cellular distribution and activities in association with CaP materials and/or with GBR membrane. 2. 2. Regeneration in periodontal and endosseous implant treatment

    Författare :Lisa Mayfield; Lunds universitet; []
    Nyckelord :MEDICIN OCH HÄLSOVETENSKAP; MEDICAL AND HEALTH SCIENCES; Odontology; guided tissue regeneration; Pressure sensitive periodontal probe; intraosseous defects; guided bone regeneration; EDTA root surface conditioning; bioabsorbable membrane; stomatology; Odontologi;

    Sammanfattning : In a series of clinical studies regenerative procedures for periodontal disease treatment were evaluated. A reproducibility study of probing measurements using a manual periodontal probe and 3 pressure-sensitive probes showed that measurements obtained using the manual probe were the most repeatable. 3. 3. On guided bone regeneration using ceramic membranes

    Författare :Jonas Anderud; Malmö högskola; []
    Nyckelord :MEDICIN OCH HÄLSOVETENSKAP; MEDICAL AND HEALTH SCIENCES;

    Sammanfattning : Regeneration of bone in the oral and maxillofacial region can beachieved with different techniques such as autologous bone grafts,bone substitutes and guided bone regeneration. Guided boneregeneration is defined as creating a space between the bone and itssurrounding tissues, using a barrier that allows new bone to migrateinto the space while preventing other cell types from interfering. 4. 4. On the biological behavior of barrier membranes: implications for Guided Bone Regeneration. Clinical and Experimental studies

    Författare :Alberto Turri; Göteborgs universitet; []
    Nyckelord :MEDICIN OCH HÄLSOVETENSKAP; MEDICAL AND HEALTH SCIENCES; Guided Bone Regeneration; Membranes;

    Sammanfattning : There is a continuous development of bone augmentation solutions to meet the rising demand for effective dental implant rehabilitations. One of the most used techniques is Guided Bone Regeneration (GBR). LÄS MER

  5. 5. On guided bone reformation in the maxillary sinus to enable placement and integration of endosseous implants. Clinical and experimental studies

    Författare :Giovanni Cricchio; Stefan Lundgren; Lars Sennerby; Gerry Raghoebar; Umeå universitet; []
    Nyckelord :bone grafting; donor morbidity; iliac crest; dental implants; membrane elevation; maxillary sinus floor elevation;

    Sammanfattning : Dental caries and periodontal disease are the major causes for tooth loss. While dental caries commonly involve the posterior teeth in both jaws, the teeth most commonly lost due to periodontal problems are the first and second molars in the maxilla. As a consequence, the upper posterior jaw is frequently edentulous. LÄS MER
