  1. 11. On Optimisation and Design of Geodetic Networks

    Författare :Mohammad Amin Alizadeh Khameneh; Mehdi Eshagh; Lars E. Sjöberg; Stig-Göran Mårtensson; KTH; []
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; Geodesy and Geoinformatics; Geodesi och geoinformatik;

    Sammanfattning : Optimisation of a geodetic network is performed to provide its pre-set quality requirements. Today, this procedure is almost run with the aid of developed analytical approaches, where the human intervention in the process cycle is limited to defining the criteria. LÄS MER

  2. 12. Multitemporal Remote Sensing for Urban Mapping using KTH-SEG and KTH-Pavia Urban Extractor

    Författare :Alexander Jacob; Yifang Ban; Paolo Gamba; Francesca Bovolo; KTH; []
    Nyckelord :NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; KTH-SEG; ASAR; HJ-1B; Urban Land Cover Mapping; OBIA; Segmentation; Image Classification; KTH-Pavia Urban Extractor; Urban Extent; Geodesy and Geoinformatics; Geodesi och geoinformatik;

    Sammanfattning : The objective of this licentiate thesis is to develop novel algorithms and improve existing methods for urban land cover mapping and urban extent extraction using multi-temporal remote sensing imagery. Past studies have demonstrated that synthetic aperture radar (SAR) have very good properties for the analysis of urban areas, the synergy of SAR and optical data is advantageous for various applications. 3. 13. A height datum for Uganda based on a gravimetric quasigeoid model and GNSS/levelling

    Författare :Ronald Ssengendo; Lars Sjoberg; Anthony Gidudu; Hossein Nahavandchi; KTH; []
    Nyckelord :NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; Geoid model; GNSS levelling; KTH method; Uganda; Uganda Vertical Network; Quasigeoid model; Geodesy and Geoinformatics; Geodesi och geoinformatik;

    Sammanfattning : This study is devoted to the determination of a high resolution gravimetric geoid model for Uganda based on the optimal combination of terrestrial and satellite gravity anomalies using the method of Least Squares Modification of Stokes’ formula with additive corrections. Specifically the study investigates the current status of the existing Uganda Vertical Network relative to the requirements of a modern height datum and includes a detailed evaluation and validation of terrestrial gravity data, several digital elevation models and some recent global geopotential models. 4. 14. Discovering Contiguous Sequential Patterns in Network-Constrained Movement

    Författare :Can Yang; Yifang Ban; Gyözö Gidofalvi; Xiaoliang Ma; Clas Rydergren; KTH; []
    Nyckelord :NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; map matching; trajectory pattern mining; closed contiguous sequential pattern mining; trajectory pattern visualization; Geodesy and Geoinformatics; Geodesi och geoinformatik;

    Sammanfattning : A large proportion of movement in urban area is constrained to a road network such as pedestrian, bicycle and vehicle. That movement information is commonly collected by Global Positioning System (GPS) sensor, which has generated large collections of trajectories. LÄS MER

  5. 15. An Analysis of Consequences of Land Evaluation and Path Optimization

    Författare :Rachel Mundeli Murekatete; Takeshi Shirabe; Gerhard Navratil; KTH; []
    Nyckelord :NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; Least-cost paths; Most-suitable paths; Raster cost surfaces; Raster suitability surfaces; Shortest path problem; Minimax path problem; Scales of measurement; Minsta-kostnad rutter; Mest-lämpliga rutter; Raster kostnadsytor; Raster lämplighets ytor; kortaste vägen problem; Minimax väg problem; Mätskalor; Geodesy and Geoinformatics; Geodesi och geoinformatik;

    Sammanfattning : Planners who are involved in locational decision making often use raster-based geographic information systems (GIS) to quantify the value of land in terms of suitability or cost for a certain use. From a computational point of view, this process can be seen as a transformation of one or more sets of values associated with a grid of cells into another set of such values through a function reflecting one or more criteria.
