21. Optical Guiding and Feedback Structures in GaN-Based Vertical-Cavity Surface-Emitting Lasers
Sammanfattning : The Vertical-Cavity Surface-Emitting Laser (VCSEL) made from GaAs-based materials is an established infrared light source, and is produced in large volumes for short-distance optical links, computer mice, and thermal processing systems. A wide range of applications, such as high-resolution printing, general lighting, and biomedical diagnosis and treatment could benefit from using a VCSEL with blue or ultraviolet emission. LÄS MER
22. Luminescent textiles using biobased products : A bioinspired approach
Sammanfattning : Nature has designed a few biobased molecules that are responsible for bioluminescence and photoluminescence in some living species. In this thesis, the potential use of luminescence phenomena existing in nature toward the attainment of luminescent textiles was explored. LÄS MER
23. Nanostructures of Graphite and Amorphous Carbon - Fabrication and Properties
Sammanfattning : Nanoscience is a well-established research area, which concerns properties and fabrication of objects with typical dimensions on the 1-100 nanometer length scale. A central issue has been the development of techniques for fabrication and characterization of nanometer sized objects, which have contributed considerably to progress in both practical applications and fundamental research. 24. Träffad av blixten eller långsam kvävning : genuskodade uttryck för depression i en primärvårdskontext
Sammanfattning : Depression is a common mental health problem in primary health care. One third of the Swedish population is expected to experience depression at some point in their lives. The understanding of depression has expanded, both from a lay and primary health care perspective. LÄS MER
25. Elastic Neutron Scattering at 96 MeV
Sammanfattning : A facility for studies of elastic neutron scattering in the 50–130 MeV range has been developed. In addition to elastic neutron scattering, it has been used for (n,p) and (n,d) reaction experiments. The performance of the device has been illustrated in measurements of the (n,p) and (n,n) cross sections on 1H and 12C. LÄS MER
