  1. 1. A Laparoscopic Approach in Gastro-Oesophageal Surgery : Experimental and Epidemiological Studies

    Författare :Rune Sandbu; Bo Anderberg; Uppsala universitet; []
    Nyckelord :MEDICIN OCH HÄLSOVETENSKAP; MEDICAL AND HEALTH SCIENCES; Surgery; Gastro-oesophageal surgery; fundoplication; laparoscopy; long-term results; pneumothorax; intra-cranial pressure; positive end-expiratory pressure; Kirurgi; Surgery; Kirurgi; Surgery; kirurgi;

    Sammanfattning : The extension of laparoscopic procedures into the chest may induce specific pathophysiologic effects.In pigs, we have demonstrated how devastating a combined thoraco-laparoscopic approach can be for gas exchange. Sammanfattning : The overall aim of this thesis was to compare the effects of laparoscopic versus open antireflux surgery in a randomized clinical trial focusing the patients' subjective and objective outcome postoperatively, from a short-term and a long-term perspective. A further aim was to describe GORD patients' experiences of illness and surgical treatment and if possible to find striking characteristics relating to laparoscopic or open surgery. LÄS MER

  3. 3. Oesophageal Resection with Gastric Tube Reconstruction - A clinical study of a surgical method and its consequences on the upper gastrointestinal tract and survival

    Författare :Jan Johansson; Lund Kirurgi; []

    Sammanfattning : In a prospective randomised study following oesophagectomy and gastric tube reconstruction patients with hand-sutured neck anastomoses were compared with patients with circular stapled chest anastomoses. The two groups had equal rates of anastomotic or conduit leaks of 7.3 % (3/41) and 7.1 % (3/42) and of benign anastomotic strictures of 19. LÄS MER
