1. Intrinsic kinetics of some high temperature gas-solid reactions
Sammanfattning : Many materials processes are based on gas-solid reactions. An understanding of the mechanisms underlying these reactionsis essential for optimization of the process parameters andinvention of new process routes. LÄS MER
2. Investigations of the Kinetics of Reduction and Reduction/Carburization of NiO-WO3 Precursors
Sammanfattning : Kinetic studies of reduction of the mixtures of NiO and WO3 having different Ni/(Ni+W) molar ratios in flowing hydrogen gas were investigated by means of Thermo Gravimetric Analysis (TGA), Fluidized Bed (FB) technique as well as Thermal diffusivity measurements under isothermal conditions. In the case of TGA, the reaction progress was monitored by mass loss, while evolved gas analysis by a gas chromatograph was the indicator of the reaction progress in the case of FB. LÄS MER
3. Atomic Layer Deposition and Immobilised Molecular Catalysts Studied by In and Ex Situ Electron Spectroscopy
Sammanfattning : The research work that I describe in my thesis deals with three different heterogenisation approaches for synthesising a heterogeneous transition metal catalyst used for direct C-H activation reactions. The three heterogenisation approaches considered in my research are: (1) heterogenisation of a molecular catalyst on a polymer support using covalent bonds, (2) heterogenisation of a catalyst on a reduced graphene oxide (rGO) support using non-covalent interactions and (3) immobilisation of a catalyst on an inorganic surface using covalent bonds and encapsulation in an inorganic matrix. 4. Techno-economic analysis of combined cycle power plants integrated with chemical looping reforming and CO2 capture
Sammanfattning : The current thesis is a part of the EU FP7 Project titled NanoSim. It focuses on techno-economic analysis of combined cycle power plants with integrated pre-combustion CO2 capture and reforming of Natural Gas (NG). LÄS MER
5. Computational framework for studying charge transport in high-voltage gas-insulated systems
Sammanfattning : Increasing demands in electric energy stimulates a shift in functional requirements to power distribution networks and pushes equipment manufacturers to develop highly optimized products where high rated parameters (e.g., energy, voltages) are combined with reduced geometrical dimensions of components.
