1. The anode and the electrolyte in the MCFC
Sammanfattning : A goal of the Swedish government is to increase the usage of renewable fuels and biomass-based fuels. Fuel cells, and especially the MCFC, are useful for these types of fuels. The Swedish market may benefit from the MCFC in two ways: increased efficiency of the biofuels and also utilisation of produced heat in district heating. LÄS MER
2. Oxygen Carriers Materials for Chemical-Looping Technologies
Sammanfattning : Carbon dioxide is the gas which contributes most to the greenhouse effect. It is released in large quantities from fossil fuel-based power plants around the world. It is generally accepted that a rapid decrease in the emissions of carbon dioxide is needed. LÄS MER
3. Catalytic tar cleaning of biomass-derived gas with simultaneous catalyst regeneration
Sammanfattning : Tar cleaning of raw gas from biomass gasification is a necessary operation before the gas can be used as feedstock for synthetic fuels. The technology for gas cleaning that is commercially available today (scrubber systems), is associated with problems like heat penalties and loss of the chemically stored energy within the tars. 4. Computational studies of nickel catalysed reactions relevant for hydrocarbon gasification
Sammanfattning : Sustainable energy sources are of great importance, and will become even more important in the future. Gasification of biomass is an important process for utilization of biomass, as a renewable energy carrier, to produce fuels and chemicals. LÄS MER
5. Gas Adsorption and Permeation in MFI Zeolites and Membranes
Sammanfattning : The single and multi component gas adsorption behavior on silicalite-1 and cation exchanged MZSM-5 zeolites (M = H, Na, and Ba) were investigated by a step change response method. Temperature programmed desorption (TPD) and in-situ fourier transform infrared (FTIR) spectroscopy were also performed to study the type of adsorbed species and their thermal stabilities. LÄS MER
