Sammanfattning : Health-related quality of life (HRQL) has become an important outcome in asthma, since traditional outcomes, such as respiratory symptoms and pulmonary function, might not entirely express the patient’s perception of the limitations caused by the disease. Sammanfattning : The overarching aim of this thesis was to report changes in the quality of geriatric rehabilitation as perceived by administration, caregivers, and clients during a one-year period of a Swedish governmental venture of development in geriatric rehabilitation. Further aims were to describe changes in clients’ prevalence of symptoms, ADL dependence, subjective well-being in a one-year follow-up and to generate knowledge for further develop-ment of quality of geriatric rehabilitation. 4. Keeping My Ways of Being. Middle-aged women and menopause
Sammanfattning : To deepen the understanding of menopause and its role in women's lives is the general aim of this thesis. Between 1995 and 2003, all women in two Swedish primary health care districts received a postal questionnaire, when they were 45, 50, 55 or 60. A total of 1681 women (76%) responded. Sammanfattning : Objectives: Examine the prevalence and outcome of autism in child and adult population cohorts using the Diagnostic Interview for Social and COmmunication disorders (DISCO). Method: The Faroe Islands school population aged 7-18 years (n=7689) was screened for autism and cases raising suspicion were examined and tested. LÄS MER
