1. Azimuthal Correlations in Dijet Events from Deep Inelastic Positron-Proton Scattering at HERA
Sammanfattning : Correlations in the azimuthal angle between dijets produced in deep inelastic $e^{+}p$ scattering events, collected by the H1 experiment during 1999-2000, have been investigated. Cross sections are presented as a function of the azimuthal separation between the two jets in the hadronic center of mass frame, $Deltaphi^{*}$, in different regions of the photon virtuality $Q^{2}$ and in different regions of the Bjorken scaling variable $x_{Bj}$. 2. Diffuse Optical Spectroscopy and Imaging of Turbid Media
Sammanfattning : This thesis deals with optical spectroscopy and imaging of complex and strongly scattering turbid media. Focus is mainly placed on three topics, being i) diffuse optical spectroscopy of choroidal tumors, ii) gas spectroscopy in scattering materials using the GASMAS (gas in scattering media absorption spectroscopy) technique, and iii) luminescence diffuse optical imaging and tomography of tissues. 3. Production of positrons with low transverse momentum and low-mass electron-positron pairs in proton-proton collisions at a center-of-mass energy of 63 GEV

4. Study of Two-Photon processes at low Q2 using the VSAT calorimeter in the DELPHI experiment
Sammanfattning : The study is based on data collected at the LEP II accelerator during the second period of the Large Electron-Positron collider operations (1996-2000). During that time the DELPHI (DEtector with Lepton, Photon and Hadron Identification) experiment collected about 90 Gb of data on tape corresponding to 687-691 pb-1 of luminosity. LÄS MER
5. Particle Interferometry in e+e- Annihilation
Sammanfattning : This thesis is the result of three years of work in Lund University, as a member of DELPHI group, at the Elementary Particle Physics Department. The work concerns the study of Bose-Einstein correlations in electron-positron collisions at LEP. LÄS MER
