1. Tool Integration and Safety : A Foundation for Analysing the Impact of Tool Integrationon Non-functional Properties
Sammanfattning : The increasing complexity of embedded systems development is becoming difficult to handle with development environments based on disjoint engineering tools. Support for interactions between various engineering tools, especially through automated means, has therefore received an increased amount of attention during the last few years. LÄS MER
2. !secure(system) <=?=> !safe(system) : On Security and Safety of Industrial Software Systems
Sammanfattning : The focus of our research work is on readily accessible, embedded, real-time development with concurrency support. To this end, we develop the Real-Time For the Masses (RTFM) programming framework with a model of computation based on tasks and resources and that stipulates a timing semantics. LÄS MER
3. Safe Transitions to Manual Driving From Faulty Automated Driving System
Sammanfattning : This thesis presents a method to assess the safety of transitions from automated to manual driving when vehicle automation fails. The method is based on contributions to the understanding of human driving behavior, also presented in this thesis. LÄS MER
4. Towards safer care in Sweden? : Studies of influences on patient safety
Sammanfattning : Patient safety has progressed in 15 years from being a relatively insignificant issue to a position high on the agenda for health care providers, managers and policymakers as well as the general public. Sweden has seen increased national, regional and local patient safety efforts since 2011 when a new patient safety law was introduced and a four-year financial incentive plan was launched to encourage county councils to carry out specified measures and meet certain patient safety related criteria. 5. Architecting Safe Automated Driving with Legacy Platforms
Sammanfattning : Modern vehicles have electrical architectures whose complexity grows year after year due to feature growth corresponding to customer expectations. The latest of the expectations, automation of the dynamic driving task however, is poised to bring about some of the largest changes seen so far. LÄS MER
