  1. 1. Tool Integration and Safety : A Foundation for Analysing the Impact of Tool Integrationon Non-functional Properties

    Författare :Fredrik Asplund; Martin Törngren; Jad El-khoury; Jakob Axelsson; KTH; []
    Nyckelord :ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; Tool Integration; Integrated Development Environments; Embedded Systems; Safety Standards; Certification; Qualification; Systems Thinking; System Safety; STAMP; STPA;

    Sammanfattning : The increasing complexity of embedded systems development is becoming difficult to handle with development environments based on disjoint engineering tools. Support for interactions between various engineering tools, especially through automated means, has therefore received an increased amount of attention during the last few years. LÄS MER

  2. 2. !secure(system) <=?=> !safe(system) : On Security and Safety of Industrial Software Systems

    Författare :Marcus Lindner; Per Lindgren; Valeriy Vyatkin; Knut Åkesson; Luleå tekniska universitet; []
    Nyckelord :ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; embedded systems; hard real-time; concurrency; model of computation; safety-critical; safety; security; industrial automation; RTFM; real-time for the masses; Embedded Systems; Inbyggda system;

    Sammanfattning : The focus of our research work is on readily accessible, embedded, real-time development with concurrency support. To this end, we develop the Real-Time For the Masses (RTFM) programming framework with a model of computation based on tasks and resources and that stipulates a timing semantics. LÄS MER

  3. 3. Towards safer care in Sweden? : Studies of influences on patient safety

    Författare :Mikaela Ridelberg; Per Nilsen; Kerstin Roback; Mirjam Ekstedt; Linköpings universitet; []
    Nyckelord :MEDICAL AND HEALTH SCIENCES; MEDICIN OCH HÄLSOVETENSKAP; MEDICIN OCH HÄLSOVETENSKAP; MEDICAL AND HEALTH SCIENCES; Patient safety; interventions; perceptions; learning from errors; patient safety reports; learning organization; patientsäkerhet; patientsäkerhetsberättelse; nationella initiativ; lärande organisation; uppfattningar; Health Care Service and Management; Health Policy and Services and Health Economy; Hälso- och sjukvårdsorganisation; hälsopolitik och hälsoekonomi; patientsäkerhet; patientsäkerhetsberättelse; nationella initiativ; lärande organisation; uppfattningar;

    Sammanfattning : Patient safety has progressed in 15 years from being a relatively insignificant issue to a position high on the agenda for health care providers, managers and policymakers as well as the general public. Sweden has seen increased national, regional and local patient safety efforts since 2011 when a new patient safety law was introduced and a four-year financial incentive plan was launched to encourage county councils to carry out specified measures and meet certain patient safety related criteria. 4. 4. Architecting Safe Automated Driving with Legacy Platforms

    Författare :Naveen Mohan; Martin Törngren; Jakob Axelsson; KTH; []
    Nyckelord :ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; architectures; automated driving; autonomous vehicles; methods; processes; tools; functional safety; ISO 26262; diagnostic specifications; platform based design; legacy integration; functional safety concept; preliminary architectural assumptions; uncertainty management; design decisions;

    Sammanfattning : Modern vehicles have electrical architectures whose complexity grows year after year due to feature growth corresponding to customer expectations. The latest of the expectations, automation of the dynamic driving task however, is poised to bring about some of the largest changes seen so far. LÄS MER

  5. 5. Evaluating the ISM code using port state control statistics

    Författare :Max Mejia; Ergonomi och aerosolteknologi; []
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; maritime safety; human element; International Safety Management Code; ISM Code; safety culture; port state control; maritime safety legislation;

    Sammanfattning : The history of modern maritime safety legislation at the international level is relatively young. Its beginnings are generally associated with the sinking of the Titanic in 1912, a tragedy that resulted in the adoption by an international conference of the first of what was to become a series of versions (1914, 1929, 1948, 1960, 1974) of the International Convention for the Safety of Life at Sea (SOLAS).
