  1. 21. Measurements of Function in Children with Cerebral Palsy

    Författare :Eva Nordmark; Barns och familjers hälsa; []
    Nyckelord :MEDICIN OCH HÄLSOVETENSKAP; MEDICAL AND HEALTH SCIENCES; kinesitherapy; Physical medicine; epidemiology; function; Cerebral palsy; measurement; children; revalidation; rehabilitation; Rehabilitering medicinsk och social ;

    Sammanfattning : Cerebral palsy (CP) is a term for a group of conditions associated with motor disabilities, that are very heterogeneous, i.e. symptoms, severity, associated impairments, functional outcome and needs. The overall purpose of this thesis was to study the prevalence and gross motor function and to evaluate and adapt measurements in children with CP. LÄS MER

  2. 22. Lower Extremity Function in Arthritis

    Författare :Ann Bremander; Lund Ortopedi; []
    Nyckelord :MEDICIN OCH HÄLSOVETENSKAP; MEDICAL AND HEALTH SCIENCES; reumatologi; muskelsystem; Skelett; rheumatology locomotion; muscle system; Skeleton; Knee injury; Arthritis; Reliability; Self-registered physical function; Validity; Observed physical function; Physical medicine; Rehabilitering medicinsk och social ; kinesitherapy; revalidation; rehabilitation;

    Sammanfattning : The aim of this thesis was to develop and apply self-registered and observed measures of physical function in people with arthritis in the lower extremity. In Paper I, 181 subjects from the Swedish Knee Arthroplasty Register who were satisfied with their primary knee arthroplasty were studied. LÄS MER

  3. 23. Ventricular Long Axis Function: Amplitudes and Timings : Echocardiographic Studies in Health and Disease

    Författare :Frederick Bukachi; Anders Waldenstrom; Derek Gibson; Umeå universitet; []
    Nyckelord :MEDICIN OCH HÄLSOVETENSKAP; MEDICAL AND HEALTH SCIENCES; Medicine; Echocardiography; Doppler Tissue Imaging; Ageing; coronary disease; left ventricular function; atrial contraction; electromechanical function; coronary angioplasty.; Medicin; Dermatology and venerology; clinical genetics; internal medicine; Dermatologi och venerologi; klinisk genetik; invärtesmedicin; kardiologi; Cardiology;

    Sammanfattning : Background: The ageing process not only increases the risk of coronary artery disease (CAD) but also complicates its diagnosis and treatment. It is therefore important to understand the newer concepts of cardiovascular ageing physiology as well as methods of predicting the outcomes of therapeutic options available for the elderly with severe CAD. 4. 24. Function Variables for Constraint Programming

    Författare :Brahim Hnich; Edward Tsang; Uppsala universitet; []
    Nyckelord :NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; Datalogi; Constraint saisfaction; constraint programming; high-level modelling; abstraction; reformulation; function variables.; Datalogi; Computer science; Datalogi; Computer Science; data- och systemvetenskap;

    Sammanfattning : Quite often modelers with constraint programming (CP) use the same modelling patterns for different problems, possibly from different domains. This results in recurring idioms in constraint programs. Our approach can be seen as a three-step approach. First, we identify some of these recurring patterns in constraint programs. LÄS MER

  5. 25. Late Effects After Autologous Bone Marrow Transplantation in Childhood

    Författare :Per Frisk; Gudmar Lönnerholm; Jan Gustafsson; Göran Elinder; Uppsala universitet; []
    Nyckelord :MEDICIN OCH HÄLSOVETENSKAP; MEDICAL AND HEALTH SCIENCES; Pediatrics; bone marrow transplantation; children; follow-up; cataracts; final height; pubertal development; hepatic function; renal function; pulmonary function; Pediatrik; Paediatric medicine; Pediatrisk medicin;

    Sammanfattning : Fifty children with hematologic malignancies have been treated with autologous BMT in Uppsala. The aim was to describe late effects in this group with special reference to cataracts, reduced final height, and to hepatic, renal, and pulmonary late effects. LÄS MER
