  1. 11. On Boolean Functions in Symmetric-Key Ciphers

    Författare :Enes Pasalic; Institutionen för elektro- och informationsteknik; []
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; autocorrelation properties; correlation attacks; nonlinearity; resiliency; Boolean function; Stream ciphers; block ciphers; Informatics; systems theory; Informatik; systemteori;

    Sammanfattning : This thesis discusses new results on the design and the existence of cryptographically strong Boolean functions used in the design of stream and block ciphers. By interlinking theoretical results and computer search some open problems have been solved, that is, we have shown the existence of previously unknown classes of functions. LÄS MER

  2. 12. A Novel Method for Adaptive Control of Manufacturing Equipment in Cloud Environments

    Författare :Göran Adamson; Philip Moore; Lihui Wang; Robert Harrison; Högskolan i Skövde; []
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; Function Block; Adaptive control; Robot-Control-as-a-Service; Cloud Manufacturing; Production and Automation Engineering; Produktion och automatiseringsteknik;

    Sammanfattning : The ability to adaptively control manufacturing equipment, both in local and distributed environments, is becoming increasingly more important for many manufacturing companies.One important reason for this is that manufacturing companies are facing increasing levels of changes, variations and uncertainty, caused by both internal and external factors, which can negatively impact their performance. 3. 13. Multimodal Human-Robot Collaboration in Assembly

    Författare :Sichao Liu; Lihui Wang; Gunnar Bolmsjö; KTH; []
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; Robotics; Assembly; Human-robot collaboration; Multimodal control; Function block; Production Engineering; Industriell produktion;

    Sammanfattning : Human-robot collaboration (HRC) envisioned for factories of the future would require close physical collaboration between humans and robots in safe and shared working environments with enhanced efficiency and flexibility. The PhD study aims for multimodal human-robot collaboration in assembly. LÄS MER

  4. 14. Daylight compliance of multi-dwelling apartment blocks : Design considerations, evaluation criteria and occupant responses

    Författare :Iason Bournas; Institutionen för arkitektur och byggd miljö; []
    Nyckelord :HUMANIORA; HUMANITIES; daylight; electric lighting; policy; regulation compliance; simulation; questionnaire; daylight metrics; perception; brightness; user preferences; urban density; block typology; room geometry; room function; room orientation;

    Sammanfattning : This thesis examines the daylight compliance of residential spaces, in particular apartments in multi-dwelling building blocks, and provides knowledge that may prove useful for the development of future daylight criteria for dwellings. The implications of design choices on daylight compliance of spaces and the effect of daylight criteria on the level of compliance are at the core of this work. LÄS MER

  5. 15. Block stability analysis using deterministic and probabilistic methods

    Författare :Mehdi Bagheri; Håkan Stille; Charlie C. Li; KTH; []
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; Block stability analysis; Model uncertainty; Joint relaxation; Partial factor; Sensitivity analysis;

    Sammanfattning : This thesis presents a discussion of design tools for analysing block stability around a tunnel. First, it was determined that joint length and field stress have a significant influence on estimating block stability. LÄS MER
