16. Experimentell bestämning av klimatanpassning hos tall (Pinus silvestris L. och Pinus contorta Dougl.)
Sammanfattning : This paper summarizes the content of three articles published in Studia Forestalia Suecica 80,81,82, 1970.A study of the annual grouuth rhythm on 2-, 3- and 20-year-old Pinus silvestris and 2-year-old Pinus contorta showed that the following methods can be used for experimental assessment of the climatic adaptation of populations and single trees: shoot- and needle elongation, bark colour onterminal, lignification of annual ring and water content of needles. 17. Durability of sprayed concrete : steel fibre corrosion in cracks
Sammanfattning : A combination of sprayed concrete technique and steel fibre technology gives obvious advantages when saving the work needed to place conventional reinforcement. In rock strengthening applications this is most accentuated. Sprayed concrete in general, made by skilled workmen, will generally be of high quality and good durability. LÄS MER
18. Durability of Cementitious Materials in Long-Term Contact with Water
Sammanfattning : Nuclear electricity is considered to be an alternative energy production solution for the power industry in many countries. To ensure the sustainability of this energy solution, the disposal of the produced waste is one of the biggest issues facing nuclear electricity industries. LÄS MER
19. Metoder att välja korrektioner vid fuktberäkningar med variabelt utomhusklimat
Sammanfattning : Determination of the design conditions for moisture resistance requires in a Moisture Design number of different moisture calculations to be made in order to determine the moisture status within, or on the surface of, a structure. The objective of this work has been to ascertain how to allow for variations in climate data in order to be able to determine the most unfavourable moisture status likely to be encountered during the life of a building. 20. Stabilization-solidification of high water content dredged sediment : Strength, compressibility and durability evaluations
Sammanfattning : Dredging activities at ports and harbors are inevitable for safe navigation of ships and vessels. The outcomes of dredging are huge volumes of dredged materials, which can range from very fine and contaminated sediments to sands and gravels. The coarse sands and gravels can be directly used in civil engineering applications. LÄS MER
