1. Regulation of Apoptosis in Hematopoietic Progenitor Cells: Involvement of Different Signaling Pathways
Sammanfattning : Proliferation, differentiation, and survival of hematopoietic stem cells and multipotent progenitor cells are regulated by cytokines and cell-cell interactions. Kit ligand (KL) and Flt3 ligand (FL) have pleiotropic effects, promotes survival, but are nonredundant. LÄS MER
2. FLT3 receptor in normal and malignant hematopoiesis
Sammanfattning : All hematopoietic cells originate from hematopoietic stem cells (HSCs) residing in the bone marrow (BM). The classical model of hematopoietic lineage commitment, that has been the prevailing model for hematopoiesis, proposes that the first lineage commitment step of HSCs and progenitors results in a strict separation of myelopoiesis and lymphopoiesis. 3. FLT3 and KIT in acute myeloid leukemia. Translational studies on oncogenic signaling from receptor tyrosine kinases. : Translational studies on oncogenic signaling from receptor tyrosine kinases
Sammanfattning : .... LÄS MER
4. Deciphering the Pathogenesis of Acute Myeloid Leukemia
Sammanfattning : Acute myeloid leukemia (AML) is a malignant disorder of the blood system. Hematopoietic stem cells (HSCs) supply and maintain this system by differentiating via intermediates into lineage-restricted progenitors that strongly proliferate to keep up with the high turn-over of mature blood cells. 5. Studies on signaling pathways induced by FLT3, an important oncogene in AML
Sammanfattning : FLT3, a receptor tyrosine kinase, is expressed in hematopoietic progenitor cells. FLT3-ITD (internal tandem duplication) and D835 mutations are found in approximately 30% and 7% of Acute Myeloid Leukemia (AML) patients respectively, and correlate with a poor prognosis, thus making the mutated receptor a potential therapeutic target.
