  1. 1. FLT3 receptor in normal and malignant hematopoiesis

    Författare :Shabnam Kharazi; Stamcellscentrum (SCC); []
    Nyckelord :MEDICIN OCH HÄLSOVETENSKAP; MEDICAL AND HEALTH SCIENCES; FLT3-ITD; FLT3; lineage commitment; acute myeloid leukemia; myeloprolifetaive disease; hematopoietic stem cell;

    Sammanfattning : All hematopoietic cells originate from hematopoietic stem cells (HSCs) residing in the bone marrow (BM). The classical model of hematopoietic lineage commitment, that has been the prevailing model for hematopoiesis, proposes that the first lineage commitment step of HSCs and progenitors results in a strict separation of myelopoiesis and lymphopoiesis. 2. 2. Regulation of Apoptosis in Hematopoietic Progenitor Cells: Involvement of Different Signaling Pathways

    Författare :Maria Kraft; Institutionen för translationell medicin; []
    Nyckelord :MEDICIN OCH HÄLSOVETENSKAP; MEDICAL AND HEALTH SCIENCES; cytokines; apoptosis; cell cycle; c-Kit; Flt3; Flt3-ITD; Akt; Bcl-2; FoxO3; mouse; hematopoiesis; progenitor;

    Sammanfattning : Proliferation, differentiation, and survival of hematopoietic stem cells and multipotent progenitor cells are regulated by cytokines and cell-cell interactions. Kit ligand (KL) and Flt3 ligand (FL) have pleiotropic effects, promotes survival, but are nonredundant. LÄS MER

  3. 3. Studies on signaling pathways induced by FLT3, an important oncogene in AML

    Författare :Elena Razumovskaya; Institutionen för translationell medicin; []
    Nyckelord :MEDICIN OCH HÄLSOVETENSKAP; MEDICAL AND HEALTH SCIENCES; FLT3; AML; RTK; oncogene; ERK5; hematopoiesis;

    Sammanfattning : FLT3, a receptor tyrosine kinase, is expressed in hematopoietic progenitor cells. FLT3-ITD (internal tandem duplication) and D835 mutations are found in approximately 30% and 7% of Acute Myeloid Leukemia (AML) patients respectively, and correlate with a poor prognosis, thus making the mutated receptor a potential therapeutic target. 4. 4. Expression and role of the cytokine tyrosine kinase receptor flt3 in early hematopoiesis

    Författare :Jörgen Adolfsson; Stamcellscentrum (SCC); []
    Nyckelord :MEDICIN OCH HÄLSOVETENSKAP; MEDICAL AND HEALTH SCIENCES; Hematologi; extracellulära vätskor; extracellular fluids; Haematology; flt3; cytokine; Hematopoiesis; stem cells;

    Sammanfattning : Mature blood cells are crucial for life, but they have a short lifetime and thus have to be replaced. These mature blood cells are produced by lineage restricted progenitors, which themselves are generated by rare multipotent hematopoietic stem cells (HSCs) in a highly dynamic process called hematopoiesis. 5. 5. Mechanisms of survival and maintenance of Hematopoietic Stem Cells and Multipotent Progenitor Cells

    Författare :Richard Karlsson; Institutionen för translationell medicin; []
    Nyckelord :MEDICIN OCH HÄLSOVETENSKAP; MEDICAL AND HEALTH SCIENCES; extracellulära vätskor; Hematologi; extracellular fluids; Haematology; hypoxia.; forkhead; Akt PKB; Bcl-2; apoptosis; Flt3; FL; c-kit; KL; cytokines; Hematopoiesis; progenitor;

    Sammanfattning : Hematopoietic stem cells and progenitor cells are maintained in the bone marrow microenvironment, where factors including soluble and membrane-bound cytokines influence the processes of self-renewal, proliferation and differentiation. Two nonreduntant cytokines with effects on hematopoiesis, Kit Ligand (KL) and Flt3 Ligand (FL), signal via related tyrosine kinase receptors, c-kit and Flt3. LÄS MER
