1. On Phase Behaviours in Lipid/Polymer/Solvent/Water Systems and their Application for Formation of Lipid/Polymer Composite Particles
Sammanfattning : A new kind of lipid/polymer composite particle, consisting of a biodegradable polymer matrix with well-defined lipid domains, has been created. The lipid used is the water-swelling lipid monoolein (MO), which forms a reversed bicontinuous cubic diamond structure in aqueous solutions. LÄS MER
2. Storage Stability and Phase Separation Behaviour of Polymer-Modified Bitumen : Characterization and Modelling
Sammanfattning : Polymer-modified bitumen (PMB) is a high-performance material for road construction and maintenance. But its storage stability and phase separation behaviour are still not sufficiently understood and need to be studied toward a more successful and sustainable application of PMB. LÄS MER
3. Particle-Induced Phase Separation in Aqueous Solutions containing Colloidal Particles and Adsorbing Polymers
Sammanfattning : The influence of added colloidal particles on the phase behaviour of a polymer solution was investigated. Binary, quasi-binary and mixed polymer solutions were used in the study, where at least one of the polymers had an affinity for the surfaces of the colloidal particles. LÄS MER
4. Partitioning of biomolecules in thermoseparating polymer-water two-phase systems
Sammanfattning : The partitioning behaviour of different types of molecules in thermoseparating two-phase systems has been studied. A thermoseparating two phase system was formed by heating a water solution, which contained a thermoseparating polymer, above the cloud point temperature. LÄS MER
5. Aqueous Block Copolymer Systems. Self-association, Phase Behaviour and Partitioning of Biomolecules
Sammanfattning : The phase and partitioning behaviour of aqueous block copolymer systems has been studied. The block copolymers used in this work were built up of three blocks. The middle block was poly(propylene oxide) (PPO) and hydrophobic. The two outer blocks constisted of poly(ethylene oxide) (PEO) chains and less hydrophobic. LÄS MER
