  2. 2. Flow design for migrating fish

Författare :Elianne Lindmark; Luleå tekniska universitet; []

Sammanfattning : The utilization of rivers for hydropower production leads to problems for migrating fish, such as Atlantic salmon (Salmo salar) and sea trout (Salmo trutta). Both salmon and trout reproduce in fresh water, but spend their adult years at sea. To overcome man-made obstructions to and from the spawning grounds the fish needs help. LÄS MER

Sammanfattning : Aquaculture production in Tanzania has increased in recent years, responding to an increased demand for fish, partly because of an increasing population and declining catches of wild fish. However, the current aquaculture production is still low, dominated by small scale farming systems, that are struggling with a number of challenges such as lack of improved fish breeds, feeds, technical skills and low adoption rates.
