Sammanfattning : In line with the international historical-archaeological discipline, this study aims to increase knowledge of marginalising processes and disenfranchised groups in the past and to contribute to the recognised Swedish need to augment the know-how of researching people ‘of little note’ in urban environments. The study aspires a theoretically engaged empirical alternative for developing new knowledge about urban places which are not possible to excavate or where archaeological data is insufficient, while evincing how digitized historical newspapers can step in as a multifaceted historical- archaeological source. The literary and aesthetic arena allowed many different kinds of ideas and thoughts to flourish, making Brand an important cultural paper between the years 1898–1917, as well as a political one. 5. Att elda för kråkorna? : hushållens energianvändning inom bostadssektorn i Sverige 1913-2008
Sammanfattning : This thesis investigates the development of the long-term energy consumption in the Swedish households by estimating the sector’s total energy use and moreover, by examining how structural, institutional and economic factors have affected the demand for energy in the residential sector during the period 1913-2008.
