- Detta är en avhandling från Institutionen för konstruktions- och produktionsteknik
Sammanfattning : This dissertation concerns failure modelling with material imperfections and element erosion in finite element analyses. The aim has been to improve the element erosion technique, which is simple to use and implement and also computationally inexpensive. LÄS MER
- Detta är en avhandling från Luleå : Luleå University of Technology
Sammanfattning : Timber has become more popular as a construction material during recent years.Engineered wood products, such as glued laminated timber and cross-laminated timber, have enabled the construction of multi-storey buildings. LÄS MER
- Detta är en avhandling från Linköping : Linköpings universitet
Sammanfattning : In this thesis, resent methods in computational contact mechanics is brought into the process of gear design. The finite element method is used to model two elastic bodies in contact. By defining a contact interface between these two bodies, constitutive laws, regarding normal contact, friction and wear, are included. LÄS MER
4. High-Performance Finite Element Methods with Application to Simulation of Diffusion MRI and Vertical Axis Wind TurbinesDetta är en avhandling från KTH Royal Institute of Technology
Sammanfattning : The finite element methods (FEM) have been developed over decades, and together with the growth of computer engineering, they become more and more important in solving large-scale problems in science and industry. The objective of this thesis is to develop high-performance finite element methods (HP-FEM), with two main applications in mind: computational diffusion magnetic resonance imaging (MRI), and simulation of the turbulent flow past a vertical axis wind turbine (VAWT). Sammanfattning : Structures acting as waveguides are quite common withexamples being, construction beams, fluid filled pipes, railsand extruded aluminium profiles. Curved structures like cartyres and pipe-bends may also be considered as waveguides. Wavesolutions in such structures may be found by a method calledthe Waveguide Finite Element Method or WFEM.
