    Sammanfattning : A low content of organic matter, which is largely refractory in nature, is characteristic of most sediments, meaning that aquatic deposit-feeders live on a very poor food source.     Sammanfattning : Production of many proteins can today be made using genetically modified organisms. One of the most frequently used host organisms is the bacterium Escherichia coli.
