  1. 21. Modelling of large deformation crack propagation based on the extended finite element method

    Författare :Martin Fagerström; Chalmers tekniska högskola; []
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; crack propagation; strong discontinuities; material crack driving force; FEM; cohesive zone;

    Sammanfattning : This thesis is concerned with the finite element modelling of large deformation crack propagation, based on the extended finite element methodology. The benefit from this approach is the possibility of locally enriching the finite element space, i.e. to add a priori knowledge about the local behaviour of the solution in order to improve accuracy. 2. 22. On the Modelling of Fracture Using Strong Discontinuities

    Författare :Martin Fagerström; Chalmers tekniska högskola; []
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; fracture; strong discontinuity; material forces; finite deformations; FEM;

    Sammanfattning : The major concern of this work is the constitutive and numerical modelling of fracture,based on strong discontinuity formulations. More particularly, an extended finiteelement approach is used, where the total displacement is separated in two mutuallyindependent fields, representing the continuous and discontinuous displacement respectively. 3. 23. Informationsdesign i tillståndsövervakning : En studie av ett bildskärmsbaserat användargränssnitt för tillståndsövervakning och tillståndsbaserat underhåll

    Författare :Carina Andersson; Yvonne Eriksson; Björn Fagerström; Karin Wagner; Mälardalens högskola; []
    Nyckelord :NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; human-computer interaction; information design; user interface design; visual communication; människa-datorinteraktion; informationsdesign; gränssnittsdesign; visuell kommunikation; TECHNOLOGY; TEKNIKVETENSKAP; Information technology; Informationsteknik; Image analysis; Bildanalys; Innovation and Design; innovation och design;

    Sammanfattning : This research concerns the information design and visual design of graphical user interfaces (GUI) in the condition monitoring and condition-based maintenance (CBM) of production equipment. It also concerns various communicative aspects of a GUI, which is used to monitor the condition of assets. LÄS MER

  4. 24. Factory-in-a-Box : an Enabler for Flexibility in Manufacturing Systems

    Författare :Andréas Ask; Mats Jackson; Björn Fagerström; Björn Langbeck; Mälardalens högskola; []
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; Factory-in-a-Box; Flexibility; Mobility; Manufacturing; Production; Mass Customization; Manufacturing engineering; Produktionsteknik; industriell ekonomi och organisation; Industrial Economics and Organisations;

    Sammanfattning : AT PRESENT, many markets are characterized by a fast pace of change, as well as a high internationally enlarged competition. Since the conception of Mass Customization emerged in the late 1980´s, many companies within the manufacturing industry have been striving to fulfill this vision by increasing the flexibility within their manufacturing system. 5. 25. “Life is for living” : exploring thriving for older people living in nursing homes

    Författare :Rebecca Baxter; David Edvardsson; Hugo Lövheim; Anders Sköldunger; Sabine Björk; Lisbeth Fagerström; Umeå universitet; []
    Nyckelord :MEDICIN OCH HÄLSOVETENSKAP; MEDICAL AND HEALTH SCIENCES; Thriving; well-being; nursing home; older people; nursing; phenomenological hermeneutics; psychometric evaluation; cross-sectional; longitudinal; personcentred care; omvårdnadsforskning med medicinsk inriktning; Caring Sciences;

    Sammanfattning : Background: Demand for formal care in nursing homes has steadily increased in recent decades, prompting calls for exploration of health-promoting and salutogenic concepts that support people not only to survive in older age, but to thrive. The concept of thriving has been described as a holistic experience of place-related well-being resulting from interactions between the person and their lived-environment. LÄS MER
