  1. 16. DeepKit: a multistage exploration framework for hardware implementation of deep learning

    Författare :Mohammad Riazati; Masoud Daneshtalab; Mikael Sjödin; Björn Lisper; Diana Goehringer; Mälardalens universitet; []
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; Computer Science; datavetenskap;

    Sammanfattning : Deep Neural Networks (DNNs) are widely adopted to solve different problems ranging from speech recognition to image classification. DNNs demand a large amount of processing power, and their implementation on hardware, i.e., FPGA or ASIC, has received much attention. LÄS MER

    Författare :Francesco Robino; Johnny Öberg; Shashi Kumar; KTH; []
    Nyckelord :System-level design; platform-based designembedded systems; field programmable gate arrays; integrated circuit design; integrated circuit modelling; network-on-chip; FPGA; NoC-based MPSoC; Simulink; common semantics domain; dataflow applications; design flow; embedded system; multiprocessor systems; network-on-chip; Computational modeling; Field programmable gate arrays; Mathematical model; Program processors; Prototypes; Semantics; ;

    Sammanfattning : Network-on-chip (NoC) based multi-processor systems-on-chip (MPSoCs) are promising candidates for future multi-processor embedded platforms, which are expected to be composed of hundreds of heterogeneous processing elements (PEs) to potentially provide high performances. However, together with the performances, the systems complexity will increase, and new high level design techniques will be needed to efficiently model, simulate, debug and synthesize them. LÄS MER

  3. 18. FPGA based data acquistion and digital pulse processing for PET and SPECT

    Författare :Abdel Kader Bousselham; Christian Bohm; Ulf Bäverstam; Stockholms universitet; []
    Nyckelord :NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; Digital signal processing; positron emission tomography; single photon computed tomography; field programmable gate arrays; digital signal processors; digital data acquisition; free running clock sampling; Physics; Fysik; Physics; fysik;

    Sammanfattning : The most important aspects of nuclear medicine imaging systems such as Positron Emission Tomography (PET) or Single Photon Emission Computed Tomography (SPECT) are the spatial resolution and the sensitivity (detector efficiency in combination with the geometric efficiency). Considerable efforts have been spent during the last two decades in improving the resolution and the efficiency by developing new detectors. LÄS MER

  4. 19. Memory modeling and synthesis for real-time video processing systems

    Författare :Benny Thörnberg; Mattias O´Nils; Bengt Oelmann; Erwin de Kock; Mittuniversitetet; []
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; memory modeling; Electrical engineering; electronics and photonics; Elektroteknik; elektronik och fotonik;

    Sammanfattning : In this thesis, a new design methodology and new tools for modeling and synthesis of real-time video processing systems are presented. A real-time video processing system is a system that performs computations on a continuous sequence of images. Image processing is a memory intensive application. LÄS MER

  5. 20. Investigation of intelligence partitioning in wireless visual sensor networks

    Författare :Khursheed Khursheed; Mattias O'Nils; Bengt Oelmann; Mittuniversitetet; []
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; Electronics; Elektronik;

    Sammanfattning : The wireless visual sensor network is an emerging field which is formed by deploying many visual sensor nodes in the field and in which each individual visual sensor node contains an image sensor, on board processor, memory and wireless transceiver. In comparison to the traditional wireless sensor networks, which operate on one dimensional data, the wireless visual sensor networks operate on two dimensional data which requires higher processing power and communication bandwidth.
