1. Analysis of Dispersion Effects in Unreplicated Factorial Designs
Sammanfattning : Methods for estimating and testing hypotheses of dispersion effects in two-level unreplicated factorial designs are studied. Under a particular = normal model, some linear combinations of the response variables are constructed in order to make a simple inference. LÄS MER
2. Measuring Professional Judgements : An Application of the Factorial Survey Approach to the Field of Social Work
Sammanfattning : The focus of this thesis is the factorial survey approach as a method for studying professional judgements in social work. The factorial survey approach, which was first introduced in the social sciences around the beginning of the 1980s, constitutes an advanced method for measuring human judgements of social objects. 3. Optimisation of radiographic imaging by means of factorial experiments
Sammanfattning : In the optimisation process of radiographic imaging, factorial designed experiments can be applied. The parameters (factors) are varied together instead of one at a time, making it possible to discover interactions between the factors as well as main influences of them on the result variable. 4. Increasing Product Quality by Verification and Validation Improvements in an Industrial Setting
Sammanfattning : Large and complex software systems are developed as a tremendous engineering effort. The aim of the development is to satisfy the customer by delivering the right product, with the right quality, and on time. LÄS MER
5. Use or Misuse? : Addiction Care Practitioners’ Perceptions of Substance Use and Treatment
Sammanfattning : The aim of this thesis has been to study boundary-making in addiction care practitioner’s perceptions of substance use and treatment. The four papers are based on three data collections in Swedish outpatient addiction care: a) a survey conducted in 2006 (n=655), b) a factorial survey using randomly constructed vignettes conducted in 2011 (n=474), and c) a focus group interview study from 2013 (n=30) with a sample of the respondents from the factorial survey.
