  1. 21. Designing for sketching to support concept exploration

    Författare :Danwei Tran Luciani; Jonas Lundberg; Jonas Löwgren; Patric Ljung; Anders Ynnerman; Erik Stolterman; Linköpings universitet; []
    Nyckelord :NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES;

    Sammanfattning : Sketching is a way of exploring early concepts through the act of externalization in a suitable material with the aid of a suitable tool. One could use paper and sketch with a pencil or go digital and sketch with code. What is appropriate to choose depends on the situation and on the skillset of the person who is going to sketch. 2. 22. The interdependence of plastic behaviour and final properties of steel wire, analysed by the finite element method

    Författare :Henrik Överstam; Magnus Jarl; Sven-Erik Lundberg; Chunhui Luo; Örebro universitet; []
    Nyckelord :Technology; FEM; defects; steel wire; wire drawing; rolling; forging; Teknikvetenskap; TECHNOLOGY; TEKNIKVETENSKAP; Maskinteknik; Mechanical Engineering;

    Sammanfattning : The finite element method (FEM) has been used in order to study the interdependence of plastic behaviour and final properties in steel wire. Three processes metal forming have been studied: billet forging, wire rod rolling, and cold drawing. LÄS MER

  3. 23. REACTIVE TRANSPORT MODELLING OF DISSOLVED CO2 IN POROUS MEDIA : Injection into and leakage from geological reservoirs

    Författare :Nawaz Ahmad; Anders Wörman; Auli Niemi; KTH; []
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; CO2 geological storage and safety; leakage of brine saturated with dissolved CO2; reactive transport; fracture; advection; dispersion and diffusion; sorption; carbonate minerals kinetic reactions; calcite; dolomite; siderite; porosity; permeability; heat transport; Land and Water Resources Engineering; Mark- och vattenteknik;

    Sammanfattning : The geological sequestration of carbon dioxide (CO2) is one of the options of controlling the greenhouse gas emissions. However, leakage of CO2 from the storage reservoir is a risk associated with geological sequestration. Over longer times, large-scale groundwater motion may cause leakage of dissolved CO2 (CO2aq). 4. 24. Modelling phosphorus dynamics in constructed wetlands upgraded with reactive filter media

    Författare :Rajabu Hamisi; Gunno Renman; Berit Balfors; Roger Thunvik; Steve W. Lyon; KTH; []
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; Constructed Wetland; COMSOL; Modelling; Reactive Solute Transport; Sorption Process; Mark- och vattenteknik; Land and Water Resources Engineering;

    Sammanfattning : Developing low-cost and effective technologies to upgrade phosphorus (P) removal from the catchment runoffs and rural wastewater treatment facilities is one of the main research agendas to save the Baltic Sea from eutrophication. In Sweden, the construction of the constructed wetlands has been one of the environmental objectives for wastewater quality improvement in the small communities. LÄS MER
