  1. 1. Risk factors for and Strategies to Prevent Complications of Endoscopic Retrograde Cholangiopancreatography

    Författare :Eva-Lena Syrén; Staffan Eriksson; Lars Enochsson; Arne Eklund; Bengt Isaksson; Gabriel Sandblom; Riadh Sadik; Uppsala universitet; []
    Nyckelord :MEDICIN OCH HÄLSOVETENSKAP; MEDICAL AND HEALTH SCIENCES; ERCP; rendezvous ERCP; post-ERCP pancreatitis; choledocholithiasis; cardiovascular complications; case-volume;

    Sammanfattning : Aim: The overall aim of this thesis was to study risk factors for and strategies to prevent complications of Endoscopic Retrograde Cholangiopancreatography (ERCP). Methods: Prospectively registered data from the Swedish National Quality Register for Gallstone Surgery and ERCP (GallRiks) 2006-2018 were retrospectively retrieved and reviewed. 2. 2. Aspects on the role of prophylactic procedures to influence post-ERCP complication rates

    Författare :Greger Olsson; Karolinska Institutet; Karolinska Institutet; []
    Nyckelord :ERCP;

    Sammanfattning : Background: When the technique to use ERCP was introduced almost fifty years ago, the morbidity in treatment of hepato-biliary diseases decreased due to the introduction of this miniinvasive modality, reducing the need for open surgical procedures. However, ERCP procedures are still marred with complications such as pancreatitis, cholangitis, hemorrhage and perforation and every measure must be undertaken to reduce these adverse events. 3. 3. Aspects of interventional endoscopic treatment of common bile duct stones

    Författare :Fredrik Swahn; Karolinska Institutet; Karolinska Institutet; []
    Nyckelord :ERCP;

    Sammanfattning : Background: During the last 30 years, important changes have been introduced in the management of common bile duct stones (CBDS) which can be detected in about 10% of patients undergoing cholecystectomy because of symptomatic gallstone disease. Established minimally-invasive treatment options for CBDS include endoscopic retrograde cholangiopancreatography (ERCP) and laparoscopic common bile duct exploration. LÄS MER

  4. 4. Endoscopic retrograde cholangiopancreatography : Perforation and long-term outcomes after endoscopic sphincterotomy

    Författare :Ann Langerth; Britt-Marie Karlson; Bengt Isaksson; Per Hellman; Riadh Sadik; Uppsala universitet; []
    Nyckelord :MEDICIN OCH HÄLSOVETENSKAP; MEDICAL AND HEALTH SCIENCES; Long-term outcome; ERCP; perforation; endoscopic sphincterotomy;

    Sammanfattning : Endoscopic retrograde cholangio pancreatography (ERCP) is a commonly used procedure in various disorders of the pancreatobiliary tract. When extracting common bile duct stones (CBDS), the major duodenal papilla is divided using a papillotome to perform an endoscopic sphincterotomy (ES). LÄS MER

  5. 5. Evaluation of MRI as a diagnostic method in biliary tract conditions

    Författare :Katarina Håkansson; Avdelningen för klinisk kemi och farmakologi; []

    Sammanfattning : The diagnostic value of modern fast pulse sequences and breath-hold technique was evaluated in a prospective study of patients with suspected biliary diseases. The cost-effectiveness of MRI compared to ultrasound was calculated. LÄS MER
