  1. 21. Airborne Wind Energy - to fly or not to fly?

    Författare :Elena Malz; Chalmers tekniska högskola; []
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY;

    Sammanfattning : This thesis investigates crosswind Airborne Wind Energy Systems (AWESs) in terms of power production and potential role in future electricity generation systems. The perspective ranges from the small scale, modelling AWE as a single system, to the large, implementing AWESs in regional electricity systems. LÄS MER

  2. 22. MULTICOMPONENT SPRAY-TURBULENCE INTERACTION

    Författare :Vignesh Pandian Muthuramalingam; Chalmers tekniska högskola; []
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; gasoline diesel blend; CFD; multicomponent fuel sprays; ethanol iso-octane blend; Stochastic Blob and Bubble VSB2 spray model; direct injection engines;

    Sammanfattning : Blended fuels are gaining importance in automotive industry owing to stringent legislations for emissions. It is important to understand the fuel spray formed as a consequence of injecting blended fuels into the engine (for direct injection engines) and also the influence of fuel spray on combustion properties. 3. 23. Washing Machine Design Optimization Based on Dynamics Modeling

    Författare :Thomas Nygårds; Chalmers tekniska högskola; []
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; Experiments; Multiobjective Optimization; Modeling; Vibration dynamics; Washing machine; Suspensions; Semi-active control.; Automatic balancing;

    Sammanfattning : The spinning process in a washing machine is a source of undesired vibrations and noise and may cause discomfort both to the user as well as for the machine itself due to vibrations which have impact on system lifetime, reliability of operation and capacity.The aim of this thesis is to develop mathematical and computational models of a washing machine of modern type and use these models for dynamics analysis and in optimization routines to make improvements of the machine mechanical design.
