  1. 1. Low-energy buildings : energy use, indoor climate and market diffusion

    Författare :Johannes Persson; Stefan Grönkvist; Svend Svendsen; KTH; []
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; building energy simulations; energy efficiency gap; energy use; indoor climate; low-energy buildings;

    Sammanfattning : Low-energy buildings have, in recent years, gained attention and moved towards a large-scale introduction in the residential sector. During this process, national and international criteria for energy use in buildings have become stricter and the European Union has through the Energy Performance of Buildings Directive imposed on member states to adapt their building regulations for ‘Nearly Zero Energy Buildings’, which by 2021 should be standard for new buildings. 2. 2. Geospatial Open-Source Modelling for Integrated Energy Access Planning : New Tools and Methods to Bridge the Energy Access Gap

    Författare :Babak Khavari; Francesco Fuso Nerini; William Usher; Mark Howells; Erik Ahlgren; KTH; []
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; Energiteknik; Energy Technology;

    Sammanfattning : In 2015 the United Nations (UN) General Assembly agreed on the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), a set of 17 goals defined by 169 targets to be reached by 2030. Amongst them is SDG 7. SDG 7 states “Ensure access to affordable, reliable, sustainable and modern energy for all”. LÄS MER

  3. 3. Regulating energy performance of residential buildings in cold climate : a study of indicators, criteria, and evaluation methods

    Författare :Ingrid Allard Stolterman; Thomas Olofsson; Gireesh Nair; Folke Björk; Umeå universitet; []
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; Energy performance; building simulation; cold climate; energy use; indicators; evaluation methods; building regulations; residential buildings; energy measurements; performance gap; energy signature; sustainable development; hållbar utveckling; fysik; Physics;

    Sammanfattning : Building energy performance has been important in Fennoscandia ever since the early vernacular houses, to combat the cold climate. Due to EU directive 2010/31/EU on the energy performance of buildings (EPBD recast), building energy performance has become even more relevant in northern Europe the last decade. LÄS MER

  4. 4. Electrification of rural Mozambique : Sustainable energy solutions

    Författare :Miguel Meque Uamusse; Avdelningen för Teknisk vattenresurslära; []
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; Renewable energy; hydropower potential; Rural electrification; mini-grid; biomass; climate change effects;

    Sammanfattning : The UN Sustainable Development Goal (SDG) 7 states that access to affordable, reliable, sustainable, and modern energy should be provided for all by 2030. The effects on socioeconomic development by access to safe, affordable, and clean electricity stands out as educational benefits, income improvement, and health progress. LÄS MER

  5. 5. A Gap in the Grid : Attempts to introduce natural gas in Sweden 1967-1991

    Författare :Anna Åberg; Arne Kaijser; Per Högselius; Erland Mårald; KTH; []
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; HUMANIORA; HUMANITIES; TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; SAMHÄLLSVETENSKAP; SOCIAL SCIENCES; natural gas; energy policy; infrastructure planning; history of technology; Sweden; Northern Europe; risk; project planning; Denmark; Norway; Soviet Union; Germany; energy systems; energy history; fossil fuels;

    Sammanfattning : This thesis follows the process of introducing natural gas in Sweden and the construction of a Northern European gas grid from 1967 to 1991. Natural gas is a relatively unnoticed fuel in Sweden today, but this relative anonymity stands in contrast to an extensive historical activity that has taken place behind the scenes of Swedish energy policy.
