  1. 1. Energy efficiency in heritage buildings : Conservation approaches and their impact on energy efficiency measures

    Författare :Tomas Örn; Agatino Rizzo; Sofia Lidelöw; Andrea Luciani; Elena Lucchi; Luleå tekniska universitet; []
    Nyckelord :HUMANIORA; HUMANITIES; TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; Energy efficiency heritage buildings; Arkitektur; Architecture;

    Sammanfattning : The impeding climate change challenge urges for a reduction of energy use in the built environment. Buildings account for nearly 40% of the total energy use and about 35% of the greenhouse gas emissions in Europe. LÄS MER

  2. 2. A systematic approach for major renovation of residential buildings

    Författare :Linn Liu; Bahram Moshfegh; Patrik Rohdin; Jan Akander; Mari-Louise Persson; Linköpings universitet; []

    Sammanfattning : In Sweden, buildings are responsible for about 40 % of total energy use and about 10 % of total CO2 emissions Today more than 60 % of existing Swedish residential buildings are over 40 years old and are in need of major renovation. In addition, 15 % of all multi-family buildings and 27 % of all single-family houses were built before 1945. LÄS MER

  3. 3. Enhanced Energy Efficiency and Preservation of Historic Buildings : Methods and Tools for Modeling

    Författare :Torun Widström; Folke Björk; Carl-Eric Hagentoft; KTH; []
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; Energy efficiency; preservation; historic buildings; building simulation;

    Sammanfattning : As the environmental impacts of the energy usage of the world today becomes more and more evident, enhancement of energy performance of the already existing building stock becomes more urgent. Buildings belonging to the cultural heritage are often the ones that are most difficult to deal with in this context. LÄS MER

  4. 4. Balancing Building Conservation with Energy Conservation - Towards differentiated energy renovation strategies in historic building stocks

    Författare :Petra Eriksson; Göteborgs universitet; []
    Nyckelord :HUMANIORA; HUMANITIES; HUMANIORA; HUMANITIES; TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; Historic buildings; Historic building stocks; Heritage value; Energy efficiency; Energy renovation; Decision support processes;

    Sammanfattning : Balancing building conservation with energy conservation is challenging. The overall aim of this thesis is to bridge the perceived conflict of reaching climate and energy goals on the one hand and the goals of a sustainable management of historic building stocks on the other hand.
