    Sammanfattning : The aim of this thesis project was to increase the understanding of the mechanisms for low-temperature oxidation of carbon monoxide and methane over supported platinum catalysts. Specifically, the low-temperature oxidation of methane and carbon monoxide over supported platinum catalysts and the sensor response mechanism towards CO of platinum-based chemical field effect sensors were studied.
