11. Biomechanical Consequences of Foot and Ankle Injury and Deformity: Kinematics and Muscle Function
Sammanfattning : The overall aim of this thesis was to discuss kinematics and muscle function changes due to foot and ankle injury or deformity. The first study aims to characterize gait patterns of subjects with a common lower limb injury, ankle fractures. LÄS MER
12. Academic librarianship in flux : The dynamics of negotiating professional jurisdiction
Sammanfattning : This study aims to better understand the dynamics of negotiating professional jurisdiction within research from the perspective of academic librarians who develop library services for researchers. This qualitative case study consists of 24 semi-structured interviews, 32 recorded non-participant observations, and seven official university library documents collected at one Swedish university library with three division libraries during 2016. 13. Procedural and Declarative Memory in Children with Developmental Disorders of Language and Literacy
Sammanfattning : The procedural deficit hypothesis (PDH) posits that a range of language, cognitive and motor impairments associated with specific language impairment (SLI) and developmental dyslexia (DD) may be explained by an underlying domain-general dysfunction of the procedural memory system. In contrast, declarative memory is hypothesized to remain intact and to play a compensatory role in the two disorders. LÄS MER
14. Subject-specific musculoskeletal modeling of the lower extremities in persons with unilateral cerebral palsy
Sammanfattning : The computational musculoskeletal models that are used to study muscle moment-generating capacities of persons with movement disorders and planning treatment options must be accurate, and take into account the inter-individual variability of musculoskeletal geometry. In Paper I the methods of creating the subject-specific musculoskeletal model of the lower extremities from magnetic resonance images (MRIs) were developed. LÄS MER
15. Biomechanical consequences of gait impairment at the ankle and foot : Injury, malalignment, and co-contraction
Sammanfattning : The human foot contributes significantly to the function of the whole lower extremity during standing and locomotion. Nevertheless, the foot and ankle often suffer injuries and are affected by many musculoskeletal and neurological pathologies. LÄS MER
