    Författare :Hannes Nederstedt; Centrum för analys och syntes; []
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; Polymer; Litiumbatteri; Mikrofasseparering; Bränslceller; Elektrolyt; Polymerelektrolyt; Polymera bränslecellsmembran; Polymer electrolyte fuel cells; Polymer electrolyte; Polymer electrolyte membrane; Microphase separation; Lithium battery; Polymer; Fuel cell; Proton exchange membrane PEM ;

    Sammanfattning : This thesis describes the synthesis and properties of five different cation conducting polymer systems. These systems were designed so that the polymers would be able to microphase separate into distinct phases with one phase for mechanical strength and one for ionic conductivity. LÄS MER

    Sammanfattning : The surge in miniaturized electronic components driven by the Internet of Things (IoT) has prompted an interest in non-traditional energy storage solutions. For these applications, reduction of size while preserving power and energy densities are of great importance. LÄS MER

  3. 3. Thermodynamic Modelling of Electrolyte Solutions with Application to the Pulp and Paper Industry

    Författare :Anders Jaretun; Avdelningen för kemiteknik; []
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; Potassium; Chloride; Chemical recovery; Leaching; Crystallization; Kraft pulping; Non-process elements; Solubility; Local composition; Excess properties; Osmotic coefficient; Electrolytes; Activity coefficient; Wood; pulp and paper technology; Pappers- och massateknik;

    Sammanfattning : A thermodynamic model for electrolyte solutions has been derived for binary and multicomponent solutions up to very high molalities. The model was extensively tested on 163 binary aqueous electrolyte systems up to very high molalities, and the results show that the model represents mean ionic activity coefficients and osmotic coefficients very accurately. 4. 4. Semiconductor-ionic Materials for Low Temperature Solid Oxide Fuel Cells

    Författare :Muhammad Afzal; Andrew R. Martin; Peter Lund; Hab. Armelle Ringuede; KTH; []
    Nyckelord :Semiconductor-ionic materials; electrolyte-layer free fuel cell; low temperature solid oxide fuel cell; fuel to electricity conversion; Schottky junction; theoretical and experimental curves; Halvledar-joniska material; elektrolytskikt-fri bränslecell; lågtemperatur fastoxidbränslecell; bränsle till elomvandling; Schottky junction; teoretiska och experimentella kurvor; Energy Technology; Energiteknik;

    Sammanfattning : Solid oxide fuel cell (SOFC) is considered as an attractive candidate for energy conversion within the fuel cell (FC) family due to several advantages including environment friendly, use of non-noble materials and fuel flexibility. However, due to high working temperatures, conventional SOFC faces many challenges relating to high operational and capital costs besides the limited selection of the FC materials and their compatibility issues. Sammanfattning : A goal of the Swedish government is to increase the usage of renewable fuels and biomass-based fuels. Fuel cells, and especially the MCFC, are useful for these types of fuels. The Swedish market may benefit from the MCFC in two ways: increased efficiency of the biofuels and also utilisation of produced heat in district heating. LÄS MER
