1. Solute transport in fractured rocks : Analysis of analytical solutions and determination of transport parameters
Sammanfattning : In order to facilitate the assessment of the safety and function of deep geological repositories for radioactive waste, several models have been developed to describe water flow and transport of solutes in fractured crystalline rock. The rock around the repository is described and modelled as a network of water-bearing fractures. LÄS MER
2. Copper and Silver Metallization for High Temperature Applications
Sammanfattning : High-temperature electrical- and morphological-stability of interconnect is critical for electronic systems based on wide band gap (WBG) semiconductors. In this context, the thermal stability of both Ag and Cu films with Ta and TaN films as diffusion barriers and/or surface-capping layers at high temperatures up to 800 oC is investigated in this thesis. 3. Transport of Heavy Metals in Soil Subjected to an Electric Field -A Study of the Transport of Copper in Bentonite Clay
Sammanfattning : This licentiate thesis addressesphosphorus release from sewage sludge, which is the first stepin phosphorus recovery. The concept ofphosphorus recovery maybe seen as a part of sustainable sludge handling in that it isa means of recycling resources without supplying harmfulsubstances to humans or the environment. 4. Isotope enrichment by countercurrent electromigration in molten salts
Sammanfattning : A series of isotope enrichments by electromigration in molten saltslias been carried out during the last, years. The running conditions aresummarized in table 1 and the enrichments achieved are given intables 2—13. Practical details such as the arrangement of the electricalcircuits and the construction of the separation columns are discussed. LÄS MER
5. Inconel 718 and Hydrogen
Sammanfattning : The nickel based superalloy IN718 is known to be sensitive to hydrogen, causing degradation of its mechanical properties. The degrading mechanism commonly proposed is based on an increased mobility and density of dislocations, caused by the dissolved hydrogen. This results in a decreased yield stress and a premature fracture. LÄS MER
