  1. 1. Testing and Modelling of Electrical Traction Machines : Performance Characterisation with Measurements from Transient Operation

    Författare :Sebastian Hall; Industriell elektroteknik och automation; []
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; Electrical machines; Interior permanent magnet synchronous machines IPMSMs ; characterisation; Testing; Modelling; Electrical machines; Interior permanent magnet synchronous machines IPMSMs ; Testing; Characterisation; Modelling;

    Sammanfattning : This thesis presents methods to derive and model the performance characteristics of interior permanent magnet machines – a machine type which is commonly used for propulsion of electrical vehicles. The thesis divides the performance characteristics into three subcategories: The electromagnetic properties, the loss profile and the thermal behaviour of the machines. LÄS MER

  2. 2. Electrical Characterisations of Bearings

    Författare :Abhishek Joshi; Chalmers tekniska högskola; []
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; Ball bearing; Equivalent circuit model; Lubricants; Bearing Capacitance; Spherical bearing; Mechanical bearing; Bearing currents; Electrical conduction; Electrical characterisation;

    Sammanfattning : Mechanical bearings are an integral part of industry, and are used in various places in order to reduce friction between two interacting surfaces and are used to transmit power and loads. Mechanical bearings are one of the most extensively used components within the wind industry, but on the other hand they are also one of the most dominantly failing failed components. LÄS MER

  3. 3. Microscopic Characterisation of Solar Cells : An Electron Microscopy Study of Cu(In,Ga)Se2 and Cu2ZnSn(S,Se)4 Solar Cells

    Sammanfattning : The sun provides us with a surplus of energy convertible to electricity using solar cells. This thesis focuses on solar cells based on chalcopyrite (CIGSe) as well as kesterite (CZTS(e)) absorber layers. These materials yield record efficiencies of 20.4 % and 11. LÄS MER

  4. 4. Electronic materials : growth and characterisation

    Författare :Michael A. Grishin; Ulf O. Karlsson; Massimo Sancrotti; KTH; []
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; Electrophysics; Photoemission; Ultra-short laser pulse; Thin film; Laser deposition; InSb; InAs; GaSb; Ferroelectrics; Elektrofysik; Electrophysics; Elektrofysik;

    Sammanfattning : In this thesis the InSb(111), InAs(111) and GaSb(001) surfaces have been studied by means of time- and angle-resolved photoemission spectroscopy based upon the femtosecond laser system. The pump-and-probe technique allows to analyse both electron states in the valence band and normally unpopulated electron states above the valence band, which can be occupied by transiently excited carriers at the optically pumped surface. Sammanfattning : Electrical bioimpedance spectroscopy (EBIS) has been used to assess the status or composition of various types of tissue, and examples of EBIS include body composition analysis (BCA) and tissue characterisation for skin cancer detection. EBIS is a non-invasive method that has the potential to provide a large amount of information for diagnosis or monitoring purposes, such as the monitoring of pulmonary oedema, i. LÄS MER
