    Sammanfattning : This dissertation is based on the finds from the archaeological excavations at Pyrgouthi, Berbati, in the Argolid, Greece, in 1995 and 1997. The excavations focused on a rectangular tower built of heavy polygonal blocks, which was identified as belonging to a farmstead site during an earlier surface survey in the area. LÄS MER

    Sammanfattning : The thesis explores the meaning and function of tears in Roman political culture during the Republic and the Early Empire in various historical settings: mourning, the law court, and in different political contexts where power, authority, and subjection were expressed or exercised. The judicial places and juridical spaces analysed in the dissertation have diverse forms and functions and are analysed from different perspectives, allowing for a historical and genealogical understanding of the spacing of law and politics.
