This study looks at the power relations between children and adults in preschool in the context of educational activities intending to increase gender equity, social equality, and participation.     Sammanfattning : Essay 1: We use data from a large sample of adoptees born in Sweden to decompose the intergenerational persistence in health inequality across generations into one pre-birth component, measured by the biological parents’ longevity, and one post-birth component, measured by the adopting parents’ longevity. We find that most of the health inequality is transmitted via pre-birth factors. LÄS MER

    Sammanfattning : The overall aim of this doctoral thesis is to examine the perceptions that new arrival immigrant families have of Swedish preschool, and the perceptions of these families as expressed by the Swedish state preschool political discourse over the last fifty-year period. For this purpose, the study uses critical discourse analysis, as proposed by Norman Fairclough. LÄS MER
