  1. 1. Paving the way for transparency : How eHealth technology can change boundaries in healthcare

    Författare :Lena Petersson; Henriette Langstrup; Ergonomi och aerosolteknologi; []
    Nyckelord :MEDICIN OCH HÄLSOVETENSKAP; MEDICAL AND HEALTH SCIENCES; SAMHÄLLSVETENSKAP; SOCIAL SCIENCES; Healthcare; eHealth; Open Notes; PAEHRs; psychiatry; healthcare professionals; transparency; boundaries; boundary work; materiality; patient empowerment; Healthcare;

    Sammanfattning : The digitalization that currently is taking place in healthcare raises questions about how this development, with visions of more patient participation and patient empowerment, changes this sector and what role eHealth can play in these changes. The term civic health technologies (Invånartjänster) is used in Sweden to describe eHealth in the healthcare sector that is developed and deployed by the authorities for the citizens. LÄS MER

  2. 2. Belief & Desire : The Standard Model of Intentional Action — Critique and Defence

    Författare :Björn Petersson; Praktisk filosofi; []
    Nyckelord :HUMANIORA; HUMANITIES; ethics; Systematic philosophy; Michael Smith; David Hume; Donald Davidson; akrasia; 2nd order desires; reasons; understandings; intention; propositional content; tendency; desire; disposition; belief-desire model; motivation; aesthetics; metaphysics; epistemology; ideology; Praktisk filosofi; estetik; metafysik; kunskapsteori; ideologi;

    Sammanfattning : The scheme of concepts we employ in daily life to explain intentional behaviour form a belief-desire model (BD model), in which motivating states are sorted into two suitably broad categories. The BD model embeds a philosophy of action, i.e. LÄS MER

  3. 3. Clinical applications of acoustophoresis in blood based diagnostics

    Författare :Klara Petersson; Avdelningen för Biomedicinsk teknik; []
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; Acoustophoresis; Acoustofluidics; Ultrasound; Microfluidics; Blood; Blood Separation; Blood plasma; Lab-on-a-chip; Point-of-care; Blood diagnostics;

    Sammanfattning : In this thesis, acoustofluidics has been used to process blood samples as a sample preparation step prior to biomarker detection. This is often required as the large amount of blood cells otherwise can interfere with the detection method. Acoustofluidics means moving particles or cells with acoustic forces within microfluidic channels. LÄS MER

  4. 4. On acoustic particle and cell manipulation in microfluidic systems

    Författare :Filip Petersson; Avdelningen för Biomedicinsk teknik; []
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; Medicin människa och djur ; Natural science; Naturvetenskap; Technological sciences; Teknik; acoustic particle manipulation standing wave; acoustic radiation force; laminar flow; Medicine human and vertebrates ; microparticles; ultrasound; lab-on-a-chip; µ-TAS; separation; cells; microfabrication; microtechnology; microfluidics;

    Sammanfattning : The combination of laminar flows in microfabricated channels and acoustic forces induced in ultrasonic standing wave fields offers new possibilities for advanced particle and cell manipulation in lab-on-a-chip applications as well as in relatively high throughput applications. Acoustic particle manipulation systems can be used e.g. LÄS MER

  5. 5. Replacing Scots pine with Norway spruce : implications for biodiversity in production forests

    Författare :Lisa Petersson; Sveriges lantbruksuniversitet; Sveriges lantbruksuniversitet; []
    Nyckelord :LANTBRUKSVETENSKAPER; AGRICULTURAL SCIENCES; NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES;

    Sammanfattning : The production forests of southern Sweden are mainly dominated by either Scots pine (Pinus sylvestris) or Norway spruce (Picea abies). Public concerns are now being raised regarding a decrease in the area on which Scots pine is being regenerated, and an increased reliance on Norway spruce production stands. LÄS MER
