  1. 1. Water diffusion and free volume in hydrophilic polymers

    Detta är en avhandling från Department of Polymer & Materials Chemistry

    Författare :Charlotte Trotzig; Lund University.; Lunds universitet.; [2006]
    Nyckelord :NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; Physical chemistry; free volume; self-diffusion; degree of crystallinity; glass transition temperature; tensile storage modulus; surface tension; isotherm; HPMC; PEO; water; triacetin; clay; Macromolecular chemistry; dynamic mechanical analysis; Fysikalisk kemi; differential scanning calorimetry; nuclear magnetic resonance; positron annihilation; Makromolekylär kemi;

    Sammanfattning : During moisture uptake in polymers, the diffusion of the water molecules is believed to occur via unoccupied voids. These voids are called free volume cavities and their sizes are continuously altered when the moisture content in the polymer is enhanced. LÄS MER

  2. 2. Plasticized Poly (lactic acid) Films - Preparation and Properties

    Detta är en avhandling från Department of Polymer Science & Engineering, Lund University

    Författare :Nadia Ljungberg; Lund University.; Lunds universitet.; [2003]
    Nyckelord :NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; phase separation; aging; thermal properties; dynamic mechanical properties; processing; film preparation; oligomer synthesis; poly lactic acid ; plasticizers; migration; cold crystallization; Polymer technology; biopolymers; Polymerteknik;

    Sammanfattning : The development of biodegradable polymers from renewable resources is of importance in order to prevent the depletion of fossil fuels and the increasing emissions of carbon dioxide to the atmosphere caused by the commodity plastics of today. However, to be able to replace these non-environmentally friendly materials, production costs of biodegradable polymers have to be decreased and their physical properties need to be enhanced. 3. 3. Rheological and mechanical properties of systems containing nanocellulose

    Detta är en avhandling från ; Chalmers tekniska högskola; Gothenburg

    Författare :Tobias Moberg; [2016]
    Nyckelord :NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; Shear rheology; Cellulose nanocrystals; Cellulose nanofibrils; Mechanical properties; Dynamic-mechanical analysis; Composites; Extensional rheology;

    Sammanfattning : Nanocellulose is a cellulose entity at the nanoscale. There are several different types of nanocellulose such as cellulose nanofibrils (CNF), which are long, somewhat flexible fibrils and cellulose nanocrystals (CNC), which are shorter and more rod-like particles. LÄS MER

  4. 4. Waterborne Alkyd-Acrylic Hybrids with High Solids Content -Preparation and Properties-

    Detta är en avhandling från Polymer and Materials Chemistry (LTH), Lund University

    Författare :Mehrnoush Jowkar Deriss; Lund University.; Lunds universitet.; [2003]
    Nyckelord :NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; biopolymers; Polymer technology; Polymerteknik;

    Sammanfattning : The work presented in this thesis concerns the preparation, characterization and film formation of a waterborne alkyd-acrylic hybrid system with high solids content of about 80 %. The alkyd-acrylic hybrids were prepared by slowly adding a linseed oil alkyd to an acrylic latex dispersion under stirring. LÄS MER
