21. Optimisation and Validation of Dynamic Susceptibility Contrast MRI Perfusion Measurements
Sammanfattning : The studies presented in this thesis concern the optimisation and evaluation of the dynamic susceptibility contrast magnetic resonance imaging (DSC-MRI) technique for the assessment of perfusion-related parameters of the brain, such as cerebral blood flow (CBF), cerebral blood volume (CBV) and mean transit time (MTT). Several methodological factors influence these measurements, for example, contrast-agent administration, arterial input function (AIF) registration, choice of deconvolution algorithm and the choice of pulse-sequence parameters. 22. Gearbox noise : Correlation with transmission error and influence of bearing preload
Sammanfattning : The five appended papers all deal with gearbox noise and vibration. The first paper presents a review of previously published literature on gearbox noise and vibration. The second paper describes a test rig that was specially designed and built for noise testing of gears. LÄS MER
23. Bridge Monitoring to Allow for Reliable Dynamic FE Modelling : A Case Study of the New Årsta Railway Bridge
Sammanfattning : Today’s bridge design work in many cases demands a trustworthy dynamic analysis instead of using the traditional dynamic amplification factors. In this thesis a reliable 3D Bernoulli-Euler beam finite element model of the New Årsta Railway Bridge was prepared for thorough dynamic analysis using in situ bridge monitoring for correlation. 24. On Noise Generation and Dynamic Transmission Error of Gears
Sammanfattning : Noise from heavy trucks is an important environmental issue. Several sources contribute to the total noise level of a vehicle, such as the engine, gearbox, tires, etc. The tonal noise from the gearbox can be very disturbing for the driver, even if the noise level from the gearbox is lower than the total noise level. 25. Dynamic Effects on Electron Transport in Molecular Electronic Devices
Sammanfattning : HTML clipboardIn this thesis, dynamic effects on electron transport in molecular electronic devices are presented. Special attention is paid to the dynamics of atomic motions of bridged molecules, thermal motions of surrounding solvents, and many-body electron correlations in molecular junctions. LÄS MER
