  1. 1. Application of monitoring to dynamic characterization and damage detection in bridges

    Författare :Ignacio Gonzalez; Raid Karoumi; Eugene O'Brien; KTH; []
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; Structural health monitoring; Traffic monitoring; Bridge monitoring; Bridge Weigh-In-Motion; BWIM; Damage detection; Suspension bridge bearings; Axle loads; Dynamics; Temperature effect;

    Sammanfattning : The field of bridge monitoring is one of rapid development. Advances in sensor technologies, in data communication and processing algorithms all affect the possibilities of Structural Monitoring in Bridges. LÄS MER

  2. 2. Influence of wheel tread damage on wheelset and track loading – Field tests and numerical simulations

    Författare :Michele Maglio; Chalmers tekniska högskola; []
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; axle stress; instrumented wheelset; impact loads; dynamic wheel–rail interaction; wheelset maintenance; wheel tread damage;

    Sammanfattning : Wheel tread damage leading to high magnitudes of vertical wheel–rail contact forces is a major cause of train delays in the Swedish railway network, in particular during the coldest months of the year. According to regulations, vehicles generating contact forces exceeding the limit value for allowed wheel–rail impact loads must be taken out of service for wheel maintenance. LÄS MER

  3. 3. Dynamic train/track interaction : hanging sleepers, track stiffness variations and track settlement

    Författare :Andreas Lundqvist; Linköpings universitet; []
    Nyckelord :TECHNOLOGY; TEKNIKVETENSKAP;

    Sammanfattning : Trains have been operating on ballasted tracks for over 150 years. During this time demands from the railway organisations and from the industry to increase axle loads and train speeds on the existing railway lines have increased. The reasons for this are both economial and environmental. LÄS MER

  4. 4. Influence of railway wheel tread damage and track properties on wheelset durability – Field tests and numerical simulations

  5. 5. Vehicle-Pavement Interaction

    Författare :Parisa Khavassefat; Björn Birgisson; Denis Jelagin; David Cebon; KTH; []
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; Finite element; Viscoelasticity; Moving load; Dynamic axle loads; Road roughness; Flexible pavement; Stochastic;

    Sammanfattning : Several aspects of vehicle-pavement interaction have been studied and discussed in this thesis. Initially the pavement response is studied through a quasi-static and a dynamic computationally efficient framework under moving traffic loads. LÄS MER
