  1. 1. Driver Interaction : Informal Rules, Irritation and Aggressive Behaviour

    Författare :Gunilla Björklund; Lars Åberg; Ralf Risser; Uppsala universitet; []
    Nyckelord :SOCIAL SCIENCES; SAMHÄLLSVETENSKAP; Psychology; Driver interaction; Informal traffic rules; Driver irritation; Aggressive behaviour; Attributional biases; False consensus; Actor-observer effect; Psykologi; Psychology; Psykologi;

    Sammanfattning : On a daily basis drivers have to share the roads with a great number of other road users. To make the driving task possible every driver has to take the intentions and behaviours of other road users into account. In other words, the road users have to interact with each other. LÄS MER

  2. 2. Older car drivers - Needs of vehicle support for safe individual mobility

    Författare :Thomas K Broberg; Chalmers University of Technology; []
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; SAMHÄLLSVETENSKAP; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; SOCIAL SCIENCES; Elderly driver; Collision avoidance; Older driver; On-road assessment; ADAS; Driver attitudes; Active Safety; Driver assist; Driver behaviour;

    Sammanfattning : As the demographic is changing with the growth of the population of older citizens, concerns have been raised for this group in terms of mobility as well as traffic safety. In this context the automobile is an important means of transport. LÄS MER

  3. 3. Facing failures : interactions between drivers and advanced driver assistance systems

    Sammanfattning : Drivers’ interactions with advanced driver assistance systems based on experiences from real driving and results from driving in a driving simulator were under investigation in this thesis. Questions posed were: - How do drivers perceive and interact with ADAS? - How are (technical) failures handled by drivers, and which are the consequences’ of these failures? - Which are the implications for diagnosis and detection of failures, as well as for system development? Special attention was given to driver behavior in response to technical failures in an adaptive cruise control system. LÄS MER

  4. 4. Driving safe in the future? Driver Needs and Requirements for Advanced Driver Assistance Systems

    Författare :Anders Lindgren; Chalmers University of Technology; []
    Nyckelord :NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; User-centred Design; Driver Requirements; Cross-cultural Differences; Interaction Design; Active Safety; ADAS; Driver Assistance; Driver Attitudes;

    Sammanfattning : In recent years, active safety has become an increasingly important factor within the automotive industry. Active safety systems, also known as Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS), have the function of actively assisting the driver in avoiding accidents by providing information about current and upcoming traffic situations and helping the driver take proper action before a potential accident occurs. 5. 5. A model of attention selection in driving

    Författare :Johan A Skifs Engström; Chalmers University of Technology; []
    Nyckelord :SAMHÄLLSVETENSKAP; SOCIAL SCIENCES; driver modelling; adaptive behaviour; Driver inattention; attention selection; accident analysis; biased competition; driver error; biased competition; driver distraction;

    Sammanfattning : Inattention is one of the most common factors contributing to road crashes. However, the basic mechanisms behind inattention and how it leads to crashes are still relatively poorly understood. LÄS MER
