  1. 16. Driver interaction with vulnerable road users: Understanding and modelling driver behaviour for the design and evaluation of intelligent safety systems

    Författare :Christian-Nils Åkerberg Boda; Chalmers tekniska högskola; []
    Nyckelord :SAMHÄLLSVETENSKAP; SOCIAL SCIENCES; TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; Euro NCAP; bicyclist; counterfactual analysis; driver behaviour; pedestrian; driver model; Active safety;

    Sammanfattning : Every year, more than 5000 pedestrians and 2000 cyclists die on European roads. These vulnerable road users (VRU) are at especially high risk when interacting with motorised vehicles. LÄS MER

  2. 17. Computational interaction models for automated vehicles and cyclists

    Författare :Ali Mohammadi; Chalmers tekniska högskola; []
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; automated vehicles; vulnerable road users; computational models; driver models; active safety systems; cyclists’ interaction;

    Sammanfattning : Cyclists’ safety is crucial for a sustainable transport system. Cyclists are considered vulnerable road users because they are not protected by a physical compartment around them. In recent years, passenger car occupants’ share of fatalities has been decreasing, but that of cyclists has actually increased. LÄS MER

  3. 18. Developing Theoretical and Empirical Definitions of Safety Problems in Driving Suitable for Active Safety Function Evaluation

    Författare :Mikael Ljung Aust; Chalmers tekniska högskola; []
    Nyckelord :SAMHÄLLSVETENSKAP; SOCIAL SCIENCES; SAMHÄLLSVETENSKAP; SOCIAL SCIENCES; SAMHÄLLSVETENSKAP; SOCIAL SCIENCES; SAMHÄLLSVETENSKAP; SOCIAL SCIENCES; NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; SAMHÄLLSVETENSKAP; SOCIAL SCIENCES; avoidance; driver behaviour; pre-crash scenarios; crash causation; adaptation; motivation; conceptual framework; active safety functions;

    Sammanfattning : In passive safety, the requirement specifications used for evaluation of protective functions are both standardised and specified at a high level of detail regarding evaluation scenario definition, performance metrics and pass/fail criteria. For active safety, while several propositions for evaluation scenarios have been made, neither these, nor performance metrics and pass/fail criteria have yet reached a similar level of detail and standardisation. 4. 19. The GMOC Model : Supporting Development of Systems for Human Control

    Författare :Simon Tschirner; Bengt Sandblad; Anders Jansson; Sebastiaan Meijer; Uppsala universitet; []
    Nyckelord :NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; Human-Computer Interaction; User-Centered Design; Human Control; Train Traffic Control; Usability; System Development; Human Work; Railway Traffic; Rail Human Factors; Mental Models; Situation Awareness; Datavetenskap med inriktning mot människa-datorinteraktion; Computer Science with specialization in Human-Computer Interaction;

    Sammanfattning : Train traffic control is a complex task in a dynamic environment. Different actors have to cooperate to meet strong requirements regarding safety, punctuality, capacity utilization, energy consumption, and more. The GMOC model has been developed and utilized in a number of studies in several different areas. LÄS MER

  5. 20. Towards automated conceptual design space exploration

    Författare :Jakob Müller; Chalmers tekniska högskola; []
    Nyckelord :HUMANIORA; HUMANITIES; TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; Engineering Design; Model Abstraction; Function Modelling; Knowledge Based Engineering; Model Based Design; Function-Means Modelling; Geometry Modelling; Design Space Exploration; Product Development; Systems Engineering; Design Automation; Aerospace;

    Sammanfattning : In mature and safety-concerned industries, such as the aerospace industry, product development is often incremental and design solutions are limited to improvements of an existing design. Radical changes to the known product architecture are avoided, for reasons of reliability, lack of technology or lack of design space exploration (DSE) methods. LÄS MER
