Sammanfattning : The thesis has provided with systematic information about how people with schizophrenia live their everyday life, and the results have shown significant relationships between occupational perspectives and health. The thesis departed in two in-depth studies that concerned time use and occupational engagement in relation to what people with schizophrenia do in their everyday life, with whom they are with, where they are and how they perceive and experience what they do, as reflected by time-use diaries. Sammanfattning : This thesis aimed to investigate visual-vestibular interactions in healthy subjects and in patients with a well defined unilateral vestibular lesion (vestibular schwannoma before and six months after translabyrinthine surgery). From a physiotherapeutic perspective, this thesis aims to study the assessment and treatment of dizzy patients in primary health care. 5. The influence of abdominal surgery on energy expenditure and working capacity
Sammanfattning : The overall aim of this work was to study the influence of surgery on energy expenditure (EE) during working capacity measurements and during walking. In the first study the aim was to investigate whether two different devices were sensitive enough to reveal differences in energy expenditure during treadmill walking, and if the measurements were reproducible.
