16. Fault Isolation in Distributed Embedded Systems
Sammanfattning : To improve safety, reliability, and efficiency of automotive vehicles and other technical applications, embedded systems commonly use fault diagnosis consisting of fault detection and isolation. Since many systems are constructed as distributed embedded systems including multiple control units, it is necessary to perform global fault isolation using for example a central unit. LÄS MER
17. On the Design and Analysis of Consensus Protocols for Vehicular Ad Hoc Networks
Sammanfattning : Vehicle-to-vehicle communication technologies support diverse cooperative applications for intelligent transportation systems to increase safety and fuel efficiency of road vehicles. Vehicles participating in a cooperative pplication are expected to make coordinated and mutually consistent decisions. LÄS MER
18. On Improving Resource Utilization in Distributed Real-Time Embedded Systems
Sammanfattning : In our modern life, embedded systems are playing an essential role. An embedded system is a computer system embedded into a certain device, in order to achieve computing functions. Beyond all doubt, as a validated system, the functional correctness must be guaranteed. LÄS MER
19. Efficient Memory Access and Synchronization in NoC-based Many-core Processors
Sammanfattning : In NoC-based many-core processors, memory subsystem and synchronization mechanism are always the two important design aspects, since mining parallelism and pursuing higher performance require not only optimized memory management but also efficient synchronization mechanism. Therefore, we are motivated to research on efficient memory access and synchronization in three topics, namely, efficient on-chip memory organization, fair shared memory access, and efficient many-core synchronization. 20. Analysis and Optimisation of Distributed Embedded Systems with Heterogeneous Scheduling Policies
Sammanfattning : The growing amount and diversity of functions to be implemented by the current and future embedded applications (like, for example, in automotive electronics) have shown that, in many cases, time-triggered and event-triggered functions have to coexist on the computing nodes and to interact over the communication infrastructure. When time-triggered and event-triggered activities have to share the same processing node, a natural way for the execution support can be provided through a hierarchical scheduler. LÄS MER
